Hi Guys,

So I picked up my airbrush again today and I came across a problem. Well it might not be.

Basically, when I first spray the paint on and stop, my next pray splatters alittle bit of paint ,when I just press down on the trigger,before spraying nicely. Is this normal???

I cleaned my airbrush and even checked to see if the needle is bent. It all looks good to me. this is acually the first time I came across this and was wondering if there is something I can do to stop it. Is it maybe the air pressure is too much???

I have a Iwata HP-c Plus.

Its not the AB, thats normal. How your supposed to use an airbrush is by pressing down on the trigger getting the air flowing through then move to begin adding paint. Your supposed to start this process before you have the AB aimed at the object. Follow me ?

So get in the habit of pressing the trigger a few times away from the object before you aim directly at it. It will clear the minimal paint that builds up inside the tip.

ahhhh...ok...I just thought it was the airbrush, but thats good to know that it's not. Saved me a bundle and the trouble of getting a new needle and so on.

Remember its all in one step, start air flowing through your AB, then pull paint, then pass over you object, then release, and repeat.

No problem, but honestly I would still find and buy a few extra needles. Its always good to have a few on hand as you just never know what will happen by accident. You dont want to be shut down if a needle tip bends, and it will happen at some point, I have bent 3. Sometimes I will spray without any protective crown and thats when it will happen if you loose focus.

Another good habit to get into: while using the same color...keep the air flowing at all times by keeping the trigger pressed forward. Don't stop the airflow between every release of paint.
