great job rich I think Kaji San has no problem with customs, as long as they are in a controlled manner. This one was a personal invite by him for this show. A long while ago when we all first began doing customs here it was an uncharted territory. With the language barrier and distance between us toy painters and the toy companies we really couldn't discuss what was cool and what wasn't. So I think it kind carried on until it just kind of blew up with a halt all operations deal. Its the gray area of passing money for work and what not that was the problem, not the actual painting of the toy. From what I have personally experienced the Japanese collectors and toy companies love what they have been seeing and have actually begun reaching out to us to work together. Its just the old assumptions that never died that people seem to remember. I think in the future now that we all have had some sort of contact with each other we will see a lot more collaborations. Fun times ahead !
