Thank you, carlisle; I've really been looking forward to sharing these guys as a group. I thought about putting them in the "MVH Toy Porn" thread, but it didn't seem quite appropriate, as that is mostly about people posting pics of their own collection...

they peer directly into my soul.

Then it's done...
Bill, I'm sorry but you have only three days to live.
Fri May 24, 2013 8:52 pm
i'm taking you and your soul-eating toys with me.

pulpus has got to be my favorite one from the group, although all of them are painted tremendously well. the eyes are a great touch, too bad it didn't take 2hrs to paint them.

The fact that they share the same palette and at the same time look cohesive and individual makes it for a great run. Very well thought out.
Great work, sir.
From the bunch, pulpus is my fav, but they all have ridiculous amounts of detail. So good.

Nice work Mike!! Damm that shit hurts.
Cant believe I missed these. Slept HARD!
Rich - Mike needs to do a bigger run.
On the super slim chance anyone is not feeling it (Yeah Fucking right It is amazing) I have stuff to trade...

Thanks for the compliments, guys!
Glad you're digging them!

Lovely ! All the more so given that they were imagined within a skull which, thanks to your enlightened choice, will be saved for grateful future generations.

They put me in a mind of what might eventually happen if some long-buried Sleestak DNA had come into contact with some industrial runoff back towards the beginning of the Dow Chemical empire...
...not to rain on your Lovecraft!

Thank you zap, Rich and 'thaction!
D, I love your take on them (and I imagine Rich M. will appreciate that concept, too)... and the timing's funny, as Dow has been much on my mind lately: our house is currently undergoing lead remediation on the outside (mostly the trim and the eaves), and Northern New England in general likely has Dow to thank for being so thoroughly coated in lead paint. The soil in our across-the-street neighbor's yard has contains 5,000x the legal limit of lead, likely due to lead paint being scraped off some time in the past before they bought the house, and before the remediation guidelines/laws were put in place (surprisingly recent, that).

Garamike did a limited run of MVH handpaints?! Dang, that's what I get for being away so long. Great work my friend!

I actually wanted to do this myself... the skull part. Love does strange things to you sometimes.

How did I sleep on this thread?
They all turned out amazing and I'm definitely feeling the sting of jealousy.

I was asked a long while back to fix the images here- they've been broken for some time. Finally got reminded to undertake re-uploading today, by spotting one of the boys out in the wild.
'Tis done. They're back to peer directly into the corroded souls of any who happen upon this thread!

Damn, when I read the title I thought you had a new run coming!

Nope, sorry Kev… just some old Sludge, dredged up!

We need a second run SB All-Stars release! Cool Dxs
How about this piece Mike?

Ah, yeah... that's the one HAARPP commissioned from me! That was a fun one. A lot of the red shading (I tried to paint him to resemble port wine cheese) gets washed out in the sunlight, but nice to see him. Here's his back (these shots from HAARPP's instagram):

Keep some faith... it took a few years, but they do come up
