Today I took a day off - mid-week - wtf???
Well, I did it for one special reason. Today Uncle Colin celebrated his 75th birthday here with me in LA.
For lunch we went to Muso and Frank's in Hollywood, enroute to teh Arclight to see Sweeney Todd. In a strange twist of fate, Johnny Depp was quietly sitting in a booth chatting with a friend - so that was a good synchronistic sign. After sauted lamb's liver for Colin, and FIlet Mignon for the rest of us (yep, it was his birthday, but I was traeting myself as well
) we headed off to see Sweeney Todd. Let's say if I NEVER see a meat pie again, it won't be too soon! Urrghgh. Who knew it was so gross! Looked great tho. A short drive home, and we got home to find a vase of birthday flowers on the door mat - thanks to good friend Edie! Awesome. And now the meat has settled, its out for Sushi as a fitting finale to the day.
75 - a-mazing IMO. Here is a pic of Colin with Mori and Don Datadub in Tokyo - looking great for 75 I'd say!
PS. Don, he is still wearing teh bracelet from our evening out!
