Ulp! Already been to the preview this lunchtime. Looked like a a few of the smaller ($300 ish) pieces were already sold. Saw Katie and said hello....from me tho, as I only just read this now.....errr...you know what i mean.
My relationship with Blaine's work is that I love his birds and animals, especially the birds. The other stuff doesn't appeal that much.
The giant $2500 scroll pieces done on paper were amazing - provided you have the wall space, and you take great care of them (i'd be worried about tearing them, or if you had a party, they'd be f**ked).
As usaul, the presentation at the gallery is great, large pieces to the right, smaller ones on the left wall. Defintely worth a look if u r in the area...plus, tonight it seems there will still be some nice, affordable pieces abvailable.
