Yup, it was brutal. The Celtics were better, tougher. And after so many years of sucking I guess Boston fans were semi-deserving.

Not ready for basketball yet!! Still a lot of baseball to enjoy.

Yeah..I'm a huge lakers fan but hated the matchup. LA can beat anyone in the East but didn't fare well with the Celtics. I mean the Hawks and Cavs took it 7 games series but LA can easily beat both of those teams.

This year who knows. The Hornets upgraded and Houston looks great on paper.

Houston definitely made some changes, adding Artest is huge...unfortunately it can go in either direction. As for NO, I think they paid way too much for Posey, it's a short term upgrade, but he's not worth what he got long term. Pargo was streaky, but they could have had him for 1/2 what they paid for Posey.

But I agree with bryce, who knows this year. I really dont think there are any favorites. The Lakers look good now, but I dont think Odom is going to make it the whole year. I'd say he's a gonner before the trade deadline. I'd expect a lot of volatility at the top of the west this year just like last year. In the east I still think you have 5-6 teams that are clearly better than everyone else, and then the inevitable couple of teams that make the playoffs with < .500 records.

I'm just hoping my Pacers have a good season. They had a good season opening win against the defending champs. But they have a long season ahead of them.

I dont think that compensating for the lose of brand and maggette really helps them any. With brand and maggette they were barely a playoff team...and for only 1 year. The west is still too tough for them to slide into a 7th or 8th seed in my opinion. The clippers need camby and davis to play 70+ games for them, and they'll need their bench to produce in order to have any shot.

agree, dont see them being able to play whole season, but think with camby next to kaman
defense is way more threatening, having 2 big man that can block shots and get rebounds,
making guards think twice before going to the basket. so thats a huge plus imo.
baron davis brings in winning attitude as he is on point in important games
(especially against dallas in the playoffs  last season) able to make the big points.
im very interested to see how clippers will be doing this season.
if players will be healthy i think they will make it to the playoffs easy. :D
and might even beat the lakers one time.
