Nope, he wasn't signing beacuse it would have opened teh floodgates (as he put it) - I can totally understand that. I was the embarassed party asking for a companion to be signed by teh way.

While teh line was aggravating, IMO KAWS came across as a straight up ordinary shy guy. He posed for photo after photo with a string of fans in the early part of evening. By teh time we left just after 7, teh line was nearly three blocks long and upto 5 people deep - crazy. Haven't seen a line like that since teh Banksy warehouse event.

Totally amazing, and more fun, was teh Natalia Fabia opening a 5 minute walk away at teh Corey Helford Gallery. For those of you who dig on Suicide Girl types (and who doesn't) - that was teh show to be at. Natalia presented study after study of her luscious friends...and NO, I'm not being sexist - simply stating fact.
