Post London Calling: Episode 1
Hey Guys,
Made it to London in one piece - well, mostly one piece - a colleague gave me some dodgy no-name brand sleeping pills he bought in Thailand to help ease the journey. Luckilly I only took a half, and they hepled, but man - I wasn't myself for the next 24 hours - I must have slept for about 18 hrs over the next day...plus I felt weirder than usual...mmmmm

Anyway, day one took me out on a Sunday in a very temperate London town. Where after an hour I literally bumped into a close friend - f'ing amazing eh?

Sunday used to be quiet here, not any more - just like the USA, only way busier. Hit SIZE? early on, and picked three pairs of patent AF1's that were sold out before I got to 'em at local emporium Undefeated. Then managed to catch Maharishi's sale and score some great tees and a khaki/camo jacket, that makes me look like Liam from Oasis. Result!!! Maharishi has thse new 1000% Mastermind Bearbricks, but mine is waiting for me at home.

Mahrishi's Great Poultenay Street store is amazing - right down to the camo mosiaced at great expense into the basement floor. Very, very cool selction including Futura FL labs gear, Kaws cushions, and a huge array of 400% bearbricks, James Jarvis and Michael Lau stuff. Friendly helpful staff too!

Also visited Slamming Kicks close by - where Magdi (?) was super friendly, found Play Lounge closed on a Sunday (but will be back) and watched a table full of revellers abscond from Kingly Court without paying for their lunch - the villains!

Oh, spoke to da kids lining up for the Neighbourhood Adidas release tomorrow. Two people in line, the one at the front had been there THREE DAYS - bit crap when only one person is behind u with under 24 hours to go - but just like LA - kids looked the same, dressed the same, but had slightly different accents. I began to wish Chompers and pumpkin guts had made it for a photo op....

Got back to friend John's house for a great dinner, a crossword (!!!) and a chance to see Italy beat the French team in the penalty shoot out. Then got to see some Tea in the Park from sunny Scotland on BBC3, followed by an ACE final episode of Dr Who - AWESOME - Cybermen Vs Daleks plus a big rip in the space time continuum.... wow, that must be what happened to my head yesterday! Biggest surprise was that Catherine Tate ( am I bovvered???) appeared at the end as "The Bride" - but, am I bovvered? Yes, by Crikey I am.

Stay tuned for more fun from the UK soooooooooon.

Love

Muton

PS. I took pics, but I'm on dial up, so can I be bovvered?

Guess you got to see the "butt heard 'round the world" as it happened, eh?

^_^
