@ bryce_r: I can't see what kind of discussion could be held with such straight statements...for someone who likes to play the "teacher" I thought you knew that. Anyway enough time wasted with you...feel free to answer to have the last word, this a pleasure I happily leave to you :)

@ gatchabert: Well considering the limited runs we are talking about I do not think a preliminary inspection would be heavily time consuming. Let's say maximum 30 seconds to spot the potential *heaviest* defaults (I am not talking about a strict zero default quality control) would lead to less than 1 hour for a 100 pieces lot.
And, this is my personal opinion ;), between having a limited-run figure with a significant default or no figure I would choose option #2.
In my case the drip is on the RV's face. It would have been on the feet or on the back, of course I would not even have mentioned it because it has a far lesser impact on the overall visual aspect of the figure.

^ I can agree with you that this can be seen as a quality control issue, but seeing that the prior 12 Roses are perfect I'd let this 1 slide. I believe the majority of this release, if not all, have the same vinyl drip down their face.

Agreed. On my side I consider this as an isolated event given the fact that all the previous productions (whatever in clear vinyl or not) I bought were purely & simply flawless.

One thing people forget is if a company orders 50 pieces, the factory has to make more than 50 because not every pull is perfect. I'm sure there is some inspection because they still have to cut the flash off each pull, but you get to a point where you have to decide on what is acceptable to reach the number of pieces ordered.

Post Re: Valentine's Figures
I think its funny that people expect perfection in toys that are hand made. I mean these are made at a factory as big as your living room with a few old timers hand pouring and pulling each piece one at a time.

Almost all vinyl toys have this, the only reason you don't see it is because most are opaque. Like mentioned its great to have a perfect piece with no runs but that is not the normal.

Bigger toy companies who are close to the factory can inspect and refuse the vinyl. But for the most part this is how it is.

This is not a flaw but a feature if you ask me. Admire what you have and think of these like snow flakes.

If you want a perfect toy inside and out your gonna have a hard time enjoying this hobby.

Same goes for paint, if its a mask job I would get mad. But if the paint is all free sprays your gonna get a few with runs, smudges and small flaws from time to time. Humans make mistakes.

If I returned every toy I got that had some paint flaw I wouldn't have half my collection. Its these small flaws that I like and help me remember that its being made by a hardworking person, not robot at some random factory.

When I looked at the RV posted I had no clue what was wrong with it, I thought it looked amazing.

And its funny that when I buy clear BEMONS I hope to get vinyl runs inside. I think it looks amazing !

I just wanted to point out that yes your right that the inspection would be seconds per peice. BUT the re-pour, bake, pull cut and reinspect would be a tad bit longer ;)

Not to mention the cost of vinyl to re make a figure that has no other flaws than a few inside runs. If this was the case then these toys would be WAY more expensive than they are now. Imagine if they tosses this out, then the next few where the same with runs. By the time they made a flawless figure they would have wasted time and money and they price gets passed along to you or worse not even made because its almost impossible.

I can deal with runs, bubbles are another story.

**Again not being mean hearted, just throwing another thought out there ** ;)

I don't mind the runs so much myself, and I agree they shouldn't just discard toys with them, but when you pay 35$ + what must be crazy shipping to Europe, I sure sure understand you'd appreciate being told about the run beforehand so you can choose whether to get it or not. There was no run on the stock picture, was there?

I agree, the runs on the face were annoying, and completely uneven, there was no rhyme or reason to why some did or did not have them, or where they ended up, it was unusual for us to say the least. As the figures were 100% sold out, and we had nothing to swap them out with, we shipped what we had on hand. If you have a drip version you dislike, we will happily refund your money, but unfortunately we have no figure to swap you out with, and we cannot get new figures from the factory, as "it is part of the process", but per our normal standards, we rarely have these issues. If you want a refund, email me directly. brian at Super7store do com

thanks!
