 Re: sumogon 2
So it's by Hukkokudo? Anyway, I don't like it as much as the SFHV Bemon, but assuming it's half of the price (I just can't swing $275+ usually) I'd like one too. Kinda funky.
FOLLOW UP QUESTION: Did S7 get any extra Hukkokudo Repro Walking Hedoro's? I know they were on pre-order, but couldn't pay at the time, hoping you guys snagged some extra.

 Re: sumogon 2
I'm not a fan of the first bemon (but I might be if I ever saw one in person), but it was WAAAY better than this version. I don't know, it just doesn't flow or something.

Stone wrote: There just to damn clean looking to be a Bemon. I agree. There's no life to this version. The sculpt is too smooth and refined. Maybe a really narly paint job would make a difference? I do like that mini though.

 Re: sumogon 2
I like the 1st version (second pic) but no mini? Meh, may walk than. The mini was half the reason I wanted it. That first pic there, ugh, horrible! This seems like the type of sculpt that will really depend on the paint job to make it work.

 Re: sumogon 2
The head torso and body look pretty good for a revamp but the arms look terrible.

 Re: sumogon 2
Well the "kid appeal" is one reason I like it, these toys were originally targeted FOR CHILDREN. Also Sesame Street kicked balls.
The eyes actually bother me most, I really want them to be those metallic discs that are in the Hedorans/Smoguns. Again, I think colors/paint jobs will make or break this guy. I hate the one and really like the other, and the only difference is paint really. Clear with metallics would make this thing nuts!
Why no minis BTW? Were those some special Japan only deal?

 Re: sumogon 2
The eyes look slightly 'off' but seeing 'em in yellow does spark my interest. Similar to the original Bemon sculpt, this grows on you and continues to impress.

I seriously mean no offense by what I'm going to say, and I really don't care about this sculpt but... "kaiju for kids" from someone with a Tokoji avatar? I love Tokoji, BTW. He rocks.

It almost seems like a "folk art" piece but not in a good way like the Dempagon.

 Re: sumogon 2
The face is just as bad - if not worse - as the arms...and body. I think I could look past the arms/body if the face was good...but it's absolutely horrible. The eyes! The eyes! They have no soul!

 Re: sumogon 2
I had a little bit about smogun2 in my blog back in August. I ran this pic from Target Earth' site... Did they make one with a magnet (or maybe just holding) in the hand and an included truck? Even if they did, yeah, I'm not feeling this sculpt at all. The sculpt makes him look like he has little poofy short sleeves, and long thin arms. Eyes and arms just not right for me. To me it looks more like Bemon's homely girlfriend.
