The sign is still there and there are still postings on the door, but it was closed. Looking downstairs all I could see is bare concrete on both walls and floor.
Their website still has it as an active store, but it sure didn't look like it. I'm really hoping I was at the wrong building or something...
And does anyone have an address or directions for Cosmo Knight Alpha in Ekoda?
-- jJ I seem to recall there being quite a bit of bare concrete stairwell going down to the shop, so I don't think that's a good indicator. I can't imagine them closing that location, though I can't explain why they weren't open...

Im in Jpn right now but no chance for me to get to Tokyo I`m stuck in the Nagoya area. Anyway have a ton of fun for all you new to Jpn people! Among the ton of good food your gonna have, DO NOT forget to try Mosburger (the plain ol mosburger!! not the other fancy shmancy stuff although its good too) Lorne, if the currently visiting crew in Jpn can`t find your pink gear let me know what you want, if its something I can get(without being in Tokyo or festival etc) I got you covered.

Yeah, so, Mandarake in Shibuya is just fine. I didn't realize from the photos I'd seen that you have to travel deep into the earth's crust to actually get to the store. I think we passed Magmen on the way down the 4 flights of stairs...

Re: ANNOUNCING!! - Super7's Tokyo Underground Tour
Whatever anyone says, I am going to set the record straight. S7 are punks, none of the things they said we'd get to do have come to fruition, and this trip is just majorly blowing all around. Anyone who wanted to come and didn't, don't worry -- nothing to regret. Glenn held me down while Josh beat me up, and then Flynn kicked me in the balls, HARD. Very lame. I am never doing business with these guys again, period. Uh... HAH! No, so really, this trip is probably going to go down as one of the most, if not THE most, memorable experiences of my life. I'm totally blown away at how fun and down to earth everyone is, incl. the S7 crew, the other guys who have met up here for this opportunity of a lifetime, and all the awesome locals we're meeting left and right, incl. many of the most ridiculously awesome and talented designers on the planet. We've been rocking the hell out of Tokyo, just way too many lust-worthy things going on every second of every day so far to even try to elaborate on for the time being, until I have some time to "process" what the hell is going on, and how can life possibly rule this much? People -- start planning for S7 Tokyo Tour 2009 NOW. I swear to god it will blow your mind, especially if you've never been to Tokyo before. And even if you have, you probably haven't done it like this. Just freaking way too cool for school. A very excited and quite exhausted Nicky G P.S. No but seriously, don't ever trust alifeintoys, we are talking one really sketchy German dude, he wears rubber lederhosen and it's kind of freaking me out. Hah, no, just kidding. Fabian is alright!

Re: ANNOUNCING!! - Super7's Tokyo Underground Tour
Anyone who's still in town or a local want to grab dinner with Fabian and myself tonight? The two of us will be at Hachiko statue in Shibuya at 8pm today (Tuesday) -- if any other skullbrainers show up that would be very cool! Fabian is going a little nuts with some purchases today I think he really wants to show off.

Re: ANNOUNCING!! - Super7's Tokyo Underground Tour
Just got back.
What a great time!!!
I cannot believe how much fun it was to roam the streets and alleyways with all of the skullbrainers and locals.
Too many great moments to mention them all.
And the toys were seemingly falling from the sky.
I will definitely be back in 09.

Scott wins the award, by the way, for Most Capable of Speaking in Japanese, in English. Great to meet you man, you frankly made the trip a much more memorable and enjoyable experience.
