Re: New Mook?
This really blows. Im pretty sure its going to take me a long time to track the 1st one down, so I was crossing my fingers to getting the second one. Oh well, Let's hope someone pick the ball up and does something like this project.

Re: New Mook?
It speaks well of Super7 that the staff responded to our complaints in this manner. Disappointing to learn that the project is off the table but I do think it's better to actually know. Thank you very much to Brian and the staff.

Re: New Mook?
Was really looking forward to Mook2. Maybe we can get a 1/2 edition in a fullsize slip-cover then add in the second 1/2 at a later date..

Thank you very much to Brian and the staff. I do agree that it's better to finally know it's off the table however... Brian JUST posted something in late November about an article in the MOOK which sort of lead people to believe it was STILL coming out. I don't know what happened between November 21st and December that changed that. viewtopic.php?f=30&t=44534&p=745718&hilit=mook#p745718It's good to know though that we can drop the mook discussion. I am bummed that we will never get the Gargamel fight figure article/pics that were promised. YES. I KNOW They are online..however...I love books and print media.

Re: New Mook?
Here in Toronto, Canada there is a book store by the name of BMV famous for discount comics, novel and graphic novels.
It also happens to have numerous copies of the 1st Mook for about $15.
If anyone needs, I'll do you guys a holiday solid with shipping at cost.
James

Who wants to start a Kickstarter to make a sofubi/neo-kaiju/japanese vinyl magazine series?

Re: New Mook?
It's a bad idea if you don't have anybody on the project who has writing, editorial, or publishing experience. The content in Super7 Magazine was hit and miss, quality-wise, until they had someone like this on staff (Justin).

Re: New Mook?
I just love physical media. I enjoy digital too. But nothing will replace having a magazine or a book in hand. There will always be a market for this stuff, even if it's small.
The internet is no excuse. It hasn't stopped all sorts of physical media (vinyl records for instance, or even VHS!) Maybe slowed or changed the face of, but it'll never replace fully. There will always be a handful of weirdo's.
It's sad we won't see the Mook 2.

Re: New Mook?
Have to agree, same thing as vinyl records or vinyl toys. Just because something is in an older form does not mean it should fade away. I'm way too distracted when online to get that full on absorption level I get from printed material.

Re: New Mook?
Who on earth would settle for a digital version of this? It's like sending an e-card for christmas, a bit pointless. The images on screen will never be a match for the feel (and fresh print smell) of an actual book, right?

Re: New Mook?
I agree with the no to and ebook but and e card on the other hand has so much more point than a christmas card which is a waste of time money and paper.
