Quality versus quantity.....please!!

although there have been alot of releases, more than most of us can handle. the quantity of each has still been low and the quality has still been high.

It's a combination of all the parts I like from the AZ Chaos, Fungus Chaos and Roto Chaos.

I guess what I meant is I would like to see these released in moderation. Yeah...the figures look killer and the paint jobs look great. So no,quality doesn't suffer... I will say however that quantity is a bit too nuts. In another thread about hardcore music a band that had released allot of records in a very short span was talked about like overkill and those records go anywhere from $5 to $12.00 a piece...these mini's and regular Real Head releases are anywhere from $40 to $70 a piece! I would rather see a real cool figure(like the Hone-Borg) be released and let it garner recognititon before releasing 4 editions/versions in a bout a 1 month span. The Jinja-R(in my opinion)is a great figure with a nice sculpt and there are only 3 of those!

You don't think this dude is quality? I don't care how much hits, I don't need it all.

Like it was said before, so far only this and the Mutant in a similar scheme are the only KILLER releases. There have been a ton of others, but nothing I find great. Just splatters or non-paints or the rainbow set.

Supply and demand-

If they sold RXH in toys are us I would still buy them and if they were produced in bigger quantities it would make them cheaper in the first place.

I look at my toys as a hobby or whatever- not an investment. This is probably not a popular opinion on here though. :D

More figures, cheaper cost- Im happy.

comparing the pressing of vinyl records and making toys is like comparing apples and oranges.

the whole point of releasing different colors, in my opinion, is variety. you don't have to buy every version of the figure. also, if you read the article translation logang posted, you would see the work ethic behind it and the fact that mori pays for runs of figures in cash. so if he has 100 made up in one color of vinyl, would it be a good business decision to paint them all in the same colorway? probably not.
by providing different colors, he can reach different parts of the fanbase, such as people who like green spray over red (like myself)

also, too many people fall into the trap of feeling like they have to buy everything.
buy what you like. if you think there are too many, don't buy them all.

pretty simple economic structure in my opinion. supply and demand. i love the hone borg, but i'd hate to see a bunch of them in a single colorway languishing on the bst.

RxH is being made in bigger runs or quantities, but not necessarily cheaper.
If they were sold at Toys R Us, I would probably not be buying them.
Toys are rarely an investment except for a few seminal pieces. Maybe.

With the flood of new product, I imagine alot of it will be languishing on the auction sites (already seeing some of this).

To make it manageable, I've already starting being very picky and particular. Certain sculpts, I'm never going to pick up despite the colourway. Pass. Unpainted? Pass. If I can't make up my mind about it immediately, pass, especially as I hate reselling stuff.

Down the road, I may pick up certain pieces if they're being sold at under retail.
I've done that in the past and its great.

I figure I won't be able to keep up if they keep coming this fast, but I'll be happy if we get mini evil and bigaro in this green hue of vinyl to match these little guys.

I vote for larger runs and fewer releases. I have even decide not to buy it all at this point.

I like this trend; mori is just poppin' them out when the mood hits him. Maybe it's the new store (bills), or maybe he's just having a lot of fun with the mini figures. I hope that the regular-size releases don't pick up as quick. minis are fun right now though. I'm hoping he does some GID.
