Missed out on Nerdquake so didn't have chance to really catch up with GP, but he seems like a decent guy . . . but maybe I'm a crap judge of character but obviously the advice was given prior to this post!
The more I read this thread the more phased I get . . . if all you 'like' are the über rare older RxH you're gonna have to have some seriously deep pockets or you are gonna have a real insignificant 'collection'.
Personally I'd like some of the older pieces primarily because they seem kinda abstract, colourful and more based on GID and it'd be cool to give my lil' RxH set up more visual 'POP'. At the moment it's mainly new stuff and the readily available pieces but it's an overall vibe and I definitely don't relish the thought of throwing down big $$$ for any of the rarer limited pieces (old or new) with your fervour.
It's a balancing act but I'd prefer bigger runs to satisfy demand over having to pay $1k for one of a handful.

the best form of birth control is abstinence
and if i talk to my fiancee for more than a few seconds about something like this,
odds are i will be abstaining at that point

Seriously?
Whatever floats your boat. I understand some people are only interested in something because it is expensive or rare. That's fine. To each his own.
But you're giving away back-flip yodas for free in the sales forum right now. I pm'd you (fingers crossed).
The yoda is free, so not at all expensive. I have no idea how rare it is. I couldn't care less. But I would be stoked to get one cuz it's f*cking rad!! Obviously you understand this, otherwise you wouldn't be offering it.
Would the yoda be exponentially cooler if it was $1000, or an edition of 12? Would my buzz be that much more?
This thread bums me out.

Saw the "brown" blobpus/pi at the store yesterday and was impressed to see that they look much better in person. Also Joe pointed out that the new Popsodaman colorway's colors have a matte finish, which was sort of interesting. I'm not into that sculpt but this is one of the best colorways it's been given so far.
I misunderstood tavaro at first. I thought he was saying that RxH has done the Jinja-R sort of colorway too many times, not that the Jinja-R run was too big. I guess my misunderstanding is sort of obvious, now. In other news, sightings confirm that Pogue has a chin.

The finish on the Pop Soda is what turned me OFF. It bugged me, the body is shiney and glossy, but the head just didn't match. Drove me nuts, cause I loved the paint scheme, just not the execution.

I actually dig the matte finish on the popsoda face. Its totally diffrent that other toys and really gives me the "feeling" of bubbly popsoda.
I was thrown off w/ the red versions matte finish, but now I notice its the direction popsoda is going and I like it for being different.

Yeah, i agree, but maybe sodas just sporting a new shinny jacket~ But the letters on his face should be glossy to at least retain some sort of consistency, or maybe it is, i can't tell from the pic

No gloss on the head. If the WHOLE thign were matte I may not mind, but it looks like they did the body and screwed up on the head. I dunno, I mean the colors are great but the non-matching gloss/matte bugs me. I also and a ho for gloss over matte on ANYTHING, I'm paranoid I'll stain it or something and ruin it.

atease,
Hey, I'm kind of glad my gf isn't crazy about the toys. I need someone to reel me in sometimes.
The brown popsoda looked entirely matte to me--vinyl and all--but maybe it's just me or the picture wasn't too good. I'm for it. PS is a different character so now it will have an equally different presence. Just one matte finish figure is enough for me though.
Looking forward to the Jinja R OH MY GOODNESS.

passionate about the hobby? looks like you are passionate about the rare valuable rxh part of the hobby only. Some people collect as many releases as they can not just the ones they believe to be rare. That's passion

Thats a total assumption and I have addressed that as being incorrect already.

Hows this for a shit day?
I drove home after Court today to get an Excedrin Migraine tablet prior to going to the office.
The mail lady is there obviously with an EMS package which can only be my Crank Brain but she's blocking my driveway.
In a fog of pain and excitement I drove up on the lawn beside her at about 30 mph and plowed my car into the septic tank drainage pipe ripping it out of the ground, and tearing up my car in the process.
My suit is a mess, my cars a disaster, the septic tank is torn up and I'm not opening the Crank till tomorrow if only so I'll have something to look forward to.
Thats a shitty day.

The days not over yet man, chicken suit guy's probably going to show up at dinner time or something.
Edit: Thanks Bianca. It'll work out; its just so rediculous its hard to believe I actually did it.
I'm still wondering wtf happened but I'll just blame ADHD its a good catch all for this type of thing.
