 Re: Weirdearth Vampire Rose
Oh and a heads up for anyone who has the wallets of Bill Gates out there; one just went up on the US auction site we don't speak about for $175.

 Re: Weirdearth Vampire Rose
I'm sorry but if you pay $175 for that you are an idiot. It came out last night and you WILL be able to find one. Be patient.
Personally I have found releases that were much more limited and years old for near retail prices. If you are good the board the board will be good to you.

I think most people here (as collectors)understand how it feels to get a new toy they REALLY want, and how it feels to miss out.

No way in hell; these boards have been good to me so I would never do something like that as that's just a dick move. I'm looking to trade it first and foremost and if that falls through it'll go here on these boards to someone who really wants it for retail.

Oh the old "trade bait" argument...that's okay then Sorry but buying more than one is a douche move any way you try and paint it.

 Re: Weirdearth Vampire Rose
there is a line between collecting and shopping.
it is very easy for it to slip out of one range and into another. rxh definitely went that way in my opinion.

It seems like there are plenty of releases of even the mini's that would be hard to get if you weren't paying close attention. Just trying to understand what you an Joe are saying.

Just trying to understand what you an Joe are saying. a big part of my collecting is having fun trying to hunt things down. there was a time that was very true about rxh, and it kept it exciting to see what figures were released at shows and the like. when the "mini boom" hit, there were way too many figures coming out at one time for people to keep up with. even die hard collectors (quite a few that i know) gave up and/or got annoyed with the amount of releases coming out and abandoned buying new stuff. it has since moved on to preorders, and that to me is shopping and not collecting. it makes it accessible to everyone easily, but for me I would rather get 1 or 2 figures once in a while that i really want than to just go on a website and buy everything with a few clicks. i still love the rxh i have, and mori puts out some great toys, but too many too quickly really burnt me out.
