 Something for Nothing Zombie
"Funny thing about weekends when you're unemployed. They don't quite mean so much, except you get to hang out with all your working friends." Les Claypool Times are tough. The job market sucks, the housing market blows and the yen has the dollar trying to remember its safe word. This hobby can be painful when money is tight and collecting toys becomes collecting pictures of toys. We keep hearing about this stimulus package but we are feeling about as stimulated as a skullbrainer at an all over print fashion show. Worst of all, with Bush out of office we can't even find any pleasure in blaming anyone. Being in the vinyl toy business we thought creating a little stimulus should come easy. On February 13 Super7 will release the "Something for Nothing" Hooded Zombie. We are offering 20 free toys to anyone who can prove to us they have been laid off since September 15th 2008. In the event we get more than 20 submissions we will hold a lottery. The best proof is a copy of an unemployment check or a continued claim forum. PLEASE BLACK OUT PERSONAL INFORMATION! Send your information to johngalt@super7store.com by February 13th at 9am along with your mailing address and t-shirt size. For everyone else, the price is $50 through the web store. Available Friday, February 13th, 12 noon Pacific.

Very nice gesture, you guys. As KLA said, it's this kind of community spirit that makes Skullbrain a great place to hang out. And I must say, despite not being the hugest fan of this figure, that those colors are amazing.

 Re: Something for Nothing Zombie
That's an awesome move on S7's part. I hope that there is no need to take this one to a lottery basis, but I am afraid that the leprous hand of the economy may have rubbed a bunch of skullbrainers...Good luck to everyone that has a chance at the freebies!
This Zombie will look good next to the black one with the white mittens!

 Re: Something for Nothing Zombie
Very nice of S7! The figure made me think of Space Ghost when I first saw it.
So are we going to see 20 in the BST for $40 Feb. 14th?
Or better yet on Valentines, "sorry I lost my job dear...but look! I got you the latest fight figure!"

I have no problem with someone selling one if they need the money to pay rent.....just don't spend it on another toy!

Very cool way to brighten someone's day S7.
Would love one but, fortunately, I still have my job.

Great gesture, definitely a morale booster during a pretty bad time for a whole lot of people.

 Re: Something for Nothing Zombie
I, thankfully, do not qualify for a freebie (but just barely - other coworkers are gone & we 'survivors' all took paycuts). Kudos to S7 for helping folks who have been forced to cut back on their vinyl consumption. (And a purty toy, to boot.)
