MOTU x Super7
I've started a new thread for these guys because I'm hoping there will be future releases outside of SDCC for the MOTU/Mattel collab.. if there is, I have a request: neon coloured keshi and painted action figures please!!
I'm really impressed by these figures.. The sculpts for the action figures are great (and I'm aware these are separate from the ReAction series) and I wish more of the ReAction figures had this level of attention put into the sculpts. They look absolutely top notch!

I'm guessing that video was a bit of a mockumentary?? The original sculptor of He-Man and Skeletor was Tony Guerrero right? And the Ooze-It mold was just too convenient haha!!
If my instincts are wrong and it was a real visit to the house of somebody else who worked on the original MOTU series, is there a longer cut of the footage?

I really thought this thread would get more action in it.. pretty awesome project! Maybe today's announcement is more "skullbrain" style..
When I first saw this sculpt I thought it looked like Le Merde's Tango in parts - turns out it was sculpted by Gargamel so I guess that's where that idea came from! This is fucking amazing - hopefully there aren't strict licensing issues for SDCC because I want this Skeletor vinyl!

These are officially licensed! So there will be more...
Brian noted in the new issue of Clutter that a second series of the MOTUSCLE figures will be coming. Like all things though, the consumer needs to show that the line should continue past that (by buying and more buying). I hope they keep making MOTU stuff for a while.

^^^ that was cool coverage. i'm so happy that my 2 favorite aspects of toy collecting collided here. I was lucky enough to hunt down the 3.75", but man, the gargamel vinyl collab is eating away at me! here's hoping for a steady relationship between mattel and super7. however, I shared this news amongst some motu collector groups I am part of, and the reception wasn't as positive as I expected. hopefully I just caught everyone on a bad trip to etheria or something. everyone is kind of crabby when dealing with horde oppression...

That wouldn't be on the .ORG would it? Lol!
Personally I think pretty much all the S7 SDCC stuff was awesome, I just wish I'd been able to go to actually see it in person. Did we get an answer on whether or not the MOTUSCLE guys will be generally available on the S7 website? it'd seem a shame for something this small, affordable and fun to be uber exclusive.

I never did the .ORG membership. apparently having a Hotmail e-mail account isn't good enough (a few years back anyway) and it made you a risk factor. so instead of opening a new e-mail address somewhere acceptable just to talk to guys that liked he-man, I declined. lol.
the group I posted in was an exclusive facebook he-man group from Minnesota, titled MN Masters, with a whopping 23 members.
however, I do remember some he-man.org posts I feel upon via random google searches during the early days of ReAction with the Alien prototypes and remember reading a LOT of bitching about s7. that lot is a rabid crowd.

Hahahaaha, you mean it isn't just SB that has that reputation for a bunch of riled up nerds on the internet? Well, who woulda thunk it?

Haha. You know, skullbrainers may have a reputation of being mean or whatever, but (for the most part) we tend to enjoy the toys we collect. Can't say the same about some of the factions in the toy collecting realms.

Yes the flesh colored will be available, the black was only limited.
Suhweet! I'm not fussed about colors as long as I can get a set, they're bloody ace!

Ah got ya. I'm on those boards as well, although I mostly lurk, and eat popcorn when all the drama kicks in And thinking about it, I had to use my work email to get membership on there, as it wouldn't take my Yahoo or Gmail accounts... I think that's changed now though.
I hope this is the beginning of a bright new future for MOTU and branching out.
