Post totally radical toy of the week - part 1?
since i get to spend my sundays here at the s7 store, surrounded by glorious vinyl creatures, it seemed selfish not to share the love a bit. so i thought i might try a regular thing featuring the toys we are freaking out about at the moment. if you all dig it, we'll keep it up! so without any further blabbing.....

THE TOTALLY RADICAL TOY OF THE WEEK PART 1!!!

i was having a hard time deciding today, so first here's an honorable mention:

the marmit vinyl paradise glow matango!

glow vinyl with red, blue and gold spray. i like this figure more everytime i look at it. i think the thing that really gets me is the extra lumpy grossness on the hands and the seven toes on each foot. totally nasty genius!!

but, on to the main event. one of my most favorite toys out there, the M1GO RODAN is this weeks toy of the week! A re-issue of the classic Bullmark Rodan, this figure is really amazing. the sculpt is incredibly detailed and textured. there really isnt a smooth spot on the figure aside from the beak and eyeballs. add his goofy smile and those weird chest nub things, and youve got a figure worthy of any collector's shelf!

- tan vinyl with black and silver spray:

- brown vinyl with purple, blue, green and silver:

- glow vinyl with green, yellow, pink and silver:

- and the O.G. Bullmark:

and if you dig the movies that inspired the toys, be sure to see Rodan in action in:

Rodan
Ghidrah the Three Headed Monster
Godzilla vs Monster Zero
Destroy all Monsters
Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla (1993)
Godzilla Final Wars

There is also an in-depth article on Rodan toys in Super7 #13. So there you have it! How do you like them apples? Thanks for playing! Bye!
