Maybe andy can correct me, but I think they were mail-order off of Cronic's website a few weeks ago, much like the pink Zyuraiasu.

Believe both is right? Some may have been sold at Wonderfest, but the Dorome was definitely sold via Cronic's site.

s7 offered a preorder on the dorome a while back if you're talking about the unpainted amber (and maybe the nougaki too but i don't remember specifically).

yup i guess there was just that clear brown one unless someone knows of a secret release or proto. These were released before SDCC. Then there were the blue unpainted/painted at SDCC and now there is a painted green one i believe?

All Cronic is rare except a few larger releases like the S7 Dorogami. Not sure how much this retailed at but i believe the blue dorumes were 50$ at SDCC, the rainbow nougaki a bit less around 30-35.

The clear amber Dorome was only sold on Cronic's website. The clear Nougaki came with it. Later, Super7 offered them (as a set) via pre-order. Neither of these figures were sold at Wonderfes.

Hope that helps clear things up.

No. So far a total of 4 different Dorome have been released:

- Unpainted clear amber
- Unpainted clear Blue
- Painted clear Blue
- Painted solid Green

Dammit, where was I for this pre-order? Can't believe I missed it, meh, not the best colors and with no paint I'm less interested.

BTW, the figure is spelled "Dorome".

Like Dorogami, it's based on the Japanese for "mud" (doro).

So what does the "gami" and "ome" mean? Also, is it pronounced "Doro-may"? Just wondering so if I ever meet anyone here I don't sound TOTALLY stupid, I like to at least get my toy talk straight.

Yes, it is pronounced "may".

The answers to all your other questions (and then some) went up on my blog about 3 hours ago. ;)

Cool, thanks. Yeah I always noticed the bottom of Dorogami, thought it was cool. Also, the fish part in Dorome's name makes sense too, put him to the side and he looks like one of those deep sea fish, weird and mennacing.

Just like the RxH stories, this brings a great new dimension to some of my fav. new toys. I wish I could find that damned green Dorome now

WTF! When was this offered for pre-order? I remember someone (maybe Brian) saying that S7 would get these, but never read anything about it again...
