When it comes to RxH you have to accept that NO ONE will ever be complete. He designed it this way it seems. Don't quit just learn to accept it

I don't think there's ANY line of toys on this board you can be a completist with, they all have a hand full of one offs or lottery prize pieces or lucky bag figures that are limited to like 2 that most of us will never have.

So, might this be the first RxH to actually close at a public sale over $1000 (i.e., not reaching $1000 by adding fees etc., but with a selling price itself over $1000)?
To me, the fact that RxH completism is impossible is, itself, a significant part of the appeal. There's something Zen about it - The urgency about and excitement in the accomplishment of steps toward a goal that, by its very nature, can never be reached.
Indeed (at least in this brief remaining pre-Mook period) it is a goal whose very dimensions are difficult to discern, a goal we struggle even to delineate. As eagerly as I look forward to the Mook, there is a certain appeal to the present circumstance, where the nature and extent of the unknown RxH is itself unknown, where most of us are obliged to rely on shared information and data nuggets gleaned from many different sources to fill in the gaps.
The fun is largely in the hunt - finishing any set means that only dull anticlimax remains.

Nicely and wisely said.

I wish there was a way to assure these lottery items landed in the hands of collectors!
this much $$ for a NEW item is ridiculous.
there really has to be a better way.

I think there's something Zen in realizing that we don't need any of this stuff--and then acting thusly. I find it interesting (and even disturbing) that many of us will never be satisfied--no matter how many we have, how much money was spent, or how rare it is. That void is never filled. We're never content. I really enjoy collecting these things--but sometimes, as mainly a cosumer, I think inner-peace and has no place in it. That would be my only reason for quitting this (by choice). When I was a young kid, my friends and I would steal cigarettes and smoke them when no one was around. Then one day, we're smoking as we were in the habit of doing, and one of my friends tell me "man, I think I'm getting hooked on this crap". My other friend said the same. I stopped right then and there because I didn't want to crave and depend on something I didn't need. This hobby is harmless if you don't go overboard, but I feel a little like I did that day every time I scramble to pick something up, overspend, ignore my budget. Thankfully, I've got some sense left in me so I'm not starving or anything.
blah blah blah. wtf? I'm rambling. back to the toy hunt.
