 Check this Hedorah shit out
My Yellow Fever homie was in Tokyo and walked into Nakano Broadway and got this from some girl walking into MANDARAKE to flip this shit. He got just one for 2000 Yen and the fucker got her number too!
So he sends me some pics and wants to flip it to me for 300.00 USD! I guess her ex boyfriend made only 13 as product samples and gave her 2 of them. SHEEeeT! What should I do? I would normally say no way, but the shit glows and has all kinds of crap in it! Sooooo awesome!
The worst - he did not even care about toys before this trip!

That looks incredible. Is all the stuff inside it embedded in the vinyl or is all loose inside? How tall? Great looking thing for sure.

I guess the stuff is loose inside. He said it is a bit taller than a Secret Base toy, so I'll guess about 6"? This is the same idiot that went into the Secret Base store on Saturday and didn't get me their Valentines ghostfighter because "it was ugly and looked like two hotdogs". And I had to tell him what Hedorah was, he didn't know! He told me he found something cool that was "kind of like one of those Secret Base toys you want". What a jackass.
Here are a couple more pictures.

That's really cool. I'd pass on it at $300 though...just me.

If you can find a clear Hedora somewhere and make one visit to the party store, you could fill that sucker up with tiny plastic tchotchkes easily and save yourself the better portion of the $300!

how can they possibly be loose? either they are somehow attached or they defy gravity cuz you don't see the pieces all on the bottom when the figure is upright.
EDIT: unless its totally filled? it just didn't look like it to me at first glance.
i'd buy it for a reasonable price, not 300 but reasonable.
i kind of heart it bigtime!

It is the YMSF hedorah. Tehy have made about 15 colorways so far. The vinyl joints are really loose and un-engineered (is that a word?), whcih is too bad because the sculpt is great. It is about 6" tall. Even in my completist little world, I have had to pass on YMSF because the figures have had manufacturing problems. They are working on it, so hopefully they will be better in the future. I wouldn't go crazy on it.

i bought one of these and I agree w/ Brian. The construction is weak and the pieces of the figure dont fit perfectly. I liked it because it was translucent and in photo looks good. I dont think I would purchase another fig. from this company

The sculpts on the YMSF figures are absolutely incredible, but like everyone is saying the actual figures don't fit together perfectly.
But that still hasn't stopped this insane collector from picking up every glow figure they've released so far!!!!!

No, I hate cream cheese. Maybe just pickles.
Actually, I would never have given him $300, especially knowing what he paid for it, and after reading all of these posts I wouldn't even give him the $75 I was going to offer. I was just wondering what people thought.

 Gray Hedorah
Hi, this is Tony Preto of Tempting Toys. This figure is the Y-MSF clear Hedorah. Some were sold in kit form and apprantly this is one of them. I'm not sure why people complain about the joints since this Hedorah figure has none. There were problems with seperate parts (such as Hedorah's tail) with the first batch of figures due soft vinyl material. This was a mistake. Wave 2 & 3 figures were cast in harder vinyl. As for the joints for other figures, keep in mind that these figures ARE NOT toys and not designed to be. Here's a pic of the same Hedorah figure cast in harder gray vinyl.

I am not sure if anything on this board is designed to be a toy in a traditional sense... I don't see a lot of people giving their skullwings to their kids to play with.
I do like the Y-MSF hedorah a lot though... it's pretty gloopy!

I think you are missing the point. Outiside of rarity and collector fetishism, there is no reason that a skullwing wouldn't make an acceptable toy (small parts aside). It has articulating joints and durability. It is designed with the capacity to be posed and played with.
These Y-MSF figures are soft vinyl kits; more like a non-poseable model for display purposes. Inherently they are not designed with the same attributes as something that is constructed as a "toy."

I think i should have said 'intended' instead of 'designed.' I'm not gonna argue with you about this because i think you're right, a lot of the toys are articulated in the traditional sense. Even so, I don't really think that secret base or real head (or whoever) is creating toys for kids, rather they're creating archetypal toys for adults who still like the idea of toys and the aesthetics surrounding them.
Personally, i like the tactility and posing them and stuff, but i don't imagine great battles and scenarios like i did when i was 10 and Cobra had taken over Joe headquarters. Although, everyday i grab a different toy from the shelf and it spends the day with me letting me crank its arms around when i'm stuck for ideas. I don't understand rarity, production runs, keeping things in bags or behind glass.
I was just trying to take a jab at the 'collector fetishism' as you call it, sorry.
