Hey everbody...

I wanted to ask a specific question about the new Octopus Demon that just came out...anyone who may have one could probably answer this...

In the original pictures of the pink version, the sprays are all silver...however since this has been released I have only seen blue sprays on this figure...I know there's a red version of the Octopus...but specifically for the pink version: are there both silver spray and blue spray versions, or did Rainbow just release the figure with blue spray?

Believe it or not, this may make or break it for me...as I find the silver version MUCH more interesting than the blue...so hope someone can help me out here...

Mine has the blue highlights. The pics from the preorder and the final figure are different, I'm trying to find the pic I have from the pre-order. The first thing that struck me was that the pre-order version looked to be done in flesh vinyl but the actual figure is definitely pink.

I was just looking at your pics for reference...you do have the pink/blue one...

so sad if they didn't use the silver for this...there is silver on the red...

anyone HAVE a pink/silver version of this?

also, do the tentacles not match up from the top to the bottom? I've seen gaps in a lot of pics...

here are the original photos from hyper hobby and used for solicitation. i think the silver was probably just a washed out photo, but could it be that a change was made before production. all the original info i have from the distributor says blue.

im nearly positive there are only two versions of this figure, the red, and the pink w/ metallic blue.





as far as the joints not lining up, a lot of times, soft vinyl figures get a bit deformed in shipping. if you get one thats a little off, a hair dryer and some cold water will make everything groovy again.

also, FYI, all four of the rainbow figures pictured above are currently in-stock at S7.

Josh, thanks for clearing this up. I've been looking for the pic you posted from Hyper Hobby. The pre-order pics don't show in detail how the highlights are in fact blue.

Also, here's a bad pic of mine showing the gap in the left leg. I don't know if reshaping it would help. It looks as is the mold was trimmed a little too much.


Lorne, if you're on the fence about this one, let me persuade you to pick it up. It does look really nice in hand. This version is my fav of the 4 newest releases.

I've noticed the quality going down with these things. Too many individual pieces and dubious connections.

Also, toys that can't stand suck.

Despite my negative remarks above, I broke down and bought the Takogeruge from S7. Had to do a little hot water / cold water modification to make him stand straight.

His super stoned appearance is too funny---LOL LOL RAOF LMFAO etc. And he's actually quite creepy in the right setting:

Hypermook, it's cool you picked this one up. It does look really nice in hand. Mine doesn't have a problem standing but a few of the other Rainbow Barom kaiju don't stand w/out assistance: Thorn demon, Mole Demon, and even the Hand demon.
Can't wait, only a few weeks until the Sqid and Fish Scale demons are released!

I bought one too, and even though I'm bummed the spray is blue and not gray like I thought, it's a great addition to my demons...

I am not trying to be complete, only buying the ones I like...and am also REALLY looking forward to the squid coming up...
