me too, hopefully doesn't become a trend in the future.
that being said, this is still a really cool piece as far as colorway, etc. ...
just sucks to have a paint chip thirty seconds after you open it.

Just curious . . . was the paint perfect before or did it appear to be contaminated in any way? Just thinking that if a piece of crud or sump'n got underneath the paint it wouldn't adhere properly and be prone to lifting under the slightest stress!
It don't make it any better but it could (hopefully) be an isolated incident.

Never seen anything like that before.

From what I have experienced from painting SB is that the belt and the arm rub each other. So if the paint on the arms is think it will rub off where the arm and the belt meet.
So when moving the ams pull them slightly away from the body before raising them.

I'd feel the same way. I have some figures (not Secret Base) that had chips or developed chips. I was annoyed for a day but then quickly forgot about it, especially when on a shelf with other toys.

Good to read.
I received mine a couple days ago as well, but haven't popped it out of the bag yet. I'm hoping it doesn't peel away as well, but I will be taking the pull / turn advice to try and avoid that.

Did you take SB up on the replacement offer? Curious how it worked out.
Just got mine in the mail today from S7 and has the same problem. Kinda bummed but as with the chromed one I know I'll get over it.
SB is the only place Ive had a problem with as far as paint app's on any of my figs. Its detured me enough to only buy the Barbarians(my favorite) but since my last 2 Barbarians have been problematic, I might stop SB totally. Sucks... I really love this figure.
