Lamour, this sketch is perfect! I'd be all for the t-shirt thing! Let's do this !
If you have more drawings, I'd love to see them!

Oh, and of course the Bee would win, no questions about that :)

Indeed, inside my head can be a simultaneously hilarious and horrifying place to live...

 8)

Skull Wing just makes me think about the cool Marvel Zombies comic mini-series that just came out -- imagine all your old-school Marvel heroes as legions of the (very hungry) undead... with super powers!! :D

I suggest the horror fiends about look for the trade collection coming soon!

But yes, with the Pushead design, does the figure not scream "super macho fighting zombie thing"?

very funny you mentioned that Nostromo. Pushead used to have an article in Thrasher magazine years ago called Pus Zone where he would do indy band reviews and showcase different artists. He published two drawings I did for him of an undead Batman back in 86. Don't have the originals or copy. Wish I did.

 That would have been so COOL!!!

I could make a Catwoman joke about Batman & eating... but I'll let you finish it in your minds.

Torn mask and skull-like face would so be of the rawk...

I wonder... did anyone ever collect Pushead's Thrasher material? That seems like a natural idea for a book. I'd buy one...

How awesome would a Pushead and Alex Ross team-up be? Oh, the possibilites of zombie holocaust across the DC, Marvel, and Hanna-Barbera universes... (Alex Ross does some really cool work with characters like Space Ghost, etc.)

Not to mention Zombie Gatchaman! :D

As for the bout, I don't doubt that the match would be brutal, long, & grueling to say the least. Also, more than a bit gory, what with bug fluid and zombie ichor and various icky bits flying about. Now to drag the Misfits into this...

In the red corner, the Skull Bee:

---------------------------
Something wicked this way comes
Creepy crawling giant bugs

Exo-Skeleton armor
Exo-Skeleton might
Exo-Skeleton horror
Exo-Skeleton bite
Beware of THEM!

(from "THEM!")
-----------------------------

and in the blue corner, Skull Wing:
------------------------
oh, all i want to know all i want
with just a touch of my burning hand
i send my astro zombies to rape the land
prime directive, exterminate the whole human race
and your face drops in a pile of flesh
and then your heart, heart pounds till it pumps in death
prime directive, exterminate whatever stands left
[...]

i'm gonna live my life to to destroy your world
prime directive, exterminate the whole fuckin' race
then your face drops in a pile of flesh
and then your heart, heart pounds and it pumps in death
prime directive, exterminate the whole fuckin' place

(from "Astro-Zombies")
------------------------------

So long, hard fight, but I think super Pushead zombie can outlast Skull Bee. And his teeth might crack the exoskeleton...

The factor that could tip it in Skull Bee's favour has to do with his martial arts knowledge. Anybody know what skills the beloved bug of doom has?

I mean, if he knows shotokan karate, especially the satsui no hadou, then hell yes the Bee will take it all the way.

You know, with a nicely placed...

HADOUKEN!!!

:D

Commander Hiddy needs to get an animation made. A nice little OAV film. Bloodsport meets Street Fighter meets Fight Club. With monsters. Rated R. (At least!!)

Damn dude, you got a good memory. He was also doing a judo air while swinging from a rope if my memory serves me.

Dude, Puszone ruled. That used to be my favorite part of Thrasher back then. That and Igor's Record Collection. Thrasher used to be so much cooler. Shit, I may still have the issue with your art in a box somewhere.

Sometimes, the only reason I would read Thrasher was for this column.

So Supreme, was your art used in the Pus Zone column itself? That is great.

Do you remember the issue number of Thrasher?

yes, the art took up almost the whole page. the first one was just batman, and the second issue was batman and robin. I couldn't remember the issue numbers to save my life as I was just a youngin.

Too right Gabba. I got a sub to it when I moved to the US in 98, and that was the last time I bothered reading it. It was completely full of sexist and homophobic references and stupid letters form kids about why girls shouldn't skate and referring to people as ""I'M ABOUT TO BE BANNED"" - I thought wow, these guys are staring to sound like the Jock's they used to rail against - so Fuck that! I still liked the pics tho!

Oh man, that's a nice drawing! I've been messing around with SB in my artwork too (maybe if I ever get a good camera or scanner I can post). That would definately make for a good shirt design.
