 Re: 5 foot Kanegon
yeah - that's been on yja forever (off and on). Other people on the board have speculated, if memory serves me, that shipping could be as much as $1500 to $2k - yikes.
Compared to the rainbow hand demon is listed for 115,000 yen on KT, pound for pound, this hunk of vinyl is the deal of the century.

 Re: 5 foot Kanegon
I think somebody here looked into buying this through Celga and they said they wouldn't ship it.

It was a foot taller a minute ago. Does that mean it's 20% off?

 Re: 4 foot Kanegon
Would it really be a grand+ for shipping? I mean if so, wouldn't it be cheaper to just fly to Jpn to snag one and bring it back on the plane seat? (I'd love to see something like that hehe)

 Re: 4 foot Kanegon
I think it is possible for less than a grand. You would have to contact some freight companies about quotes, I used several here in Japan. A place called U-Frieight in SF or Yamato in LA would be a good start. Also Yamato is obviously in Japan so they know whats is giong on. Maybe 6 to 8 hundred but I am not sure with the fuel taxes now, this was a few years ago when I was using these companies all the time. Make sure you get the shipping quote to include pickup from the seller to drop-off at your location or you might end up going to the airport, but it will cost a little more for drop-off directly to you.

I sorta like the idea of going to the airport for him -- I picture waiting outside the concourse while holding up a little white sign that says 'Kanegon.'
