I am excited that the new Anraku related blog "Splendid Monstrous Beast!" is finally ready to roll at http://splendidmonstrousbeast.blogspot.com/.

The blog has been officially authorized by Anraku and I have included a statement to that effect at his request.

It is just getting started, and there is not much there now, mostly just some photos of my own figures, but I will be adding a lot more content as time goes on (possibly including information from Anraku).

This is not intended to be just photos from my collection, although I will use my own pics freely either in conjunction with what others submit, or by themselves if no one submits anything that can be used. This is a labor of love for me, and I am going to plug ahead with this whether or not others decide to submit anything.

Ideally, the blog will end up with photos and information about every vinyl figure that Anraku has produced and produces in the future along with accompanying information. That is the goal, though it may not be possible. Achieving the goal will likely depend on input of photos and information from others, including SK board members. Also, if anyone has links to information about Anraku, his figures, or background information, those would be welcomed as well, even if you think that they are commonly known. We will check out everything that gets submitted, and I am sure that there is lots of stuff out there that we don't already know about.

I can not and will not promise to include all photos submitted or all information provided, but I (and Anraku) would welcome anything and everything you have for consideration to be included (with attribution, as appropriate). Please don't feel bad if something you submit is not included - your efforts will be greatly appreciated. Decisions whether or not to include something will be based on a number of factors, including quality and contents. Although he did not make the request and has not made this a condition, Anraku will have the final say on anything submitted .

To facilitate submissions, please send ALL items you want to be considered for inclusion in the blog to this email address: geozilla@me.com with something in the subject line so that I can distinguish it from spam. Please do NOT use this email address for ANY other purpose or communications. Also, do NOT PM me with ANY information (PMs are too hard to manage and keep track of and have a habit of disappearing).

I hope there is a photo of the 2nd ver. Drunk Boy, and I can blow it up, cut it out, mount it on cardboard, and enter it into my collection. LOL!

Just looking at pretty pictures is not my conception of collecting toys.

That would be nice but there has been places that sold Anraku at cost. It's just gone in a couple of seconds. Hell...I think Super7 at one time had some Guerilla's for sale.

And that's exactly why a made-to-order pre-sale figure would be absolutely awesome. Do this once a year with a different sculpt each year (start with Methyl! or whatever the version without drill-appendages is called).

Dont get your hopes up buddy, Anraku steers his ship how he sees fit.

All we can do is sit back and hope to score something. I honestly hope he doesn't decide to do a made to order release. Yes I would love to own more Anraku, but I rather let him decide how he releases his stuff. He is the artist and his toys are released when he is inspired, this makes each release intentional and made out of his passion, not forced. If it was a made to order generic release I wouldn't appreciate it as much as a release that I had to hunt down, that he saw fit to release of his own will.

Just about all Anraku related stuff has now been transferred from Omni-Monster to Splendid Monstrous Beast. That was the easy part.

Now to start adding new info, pics, and content.
