Been admiring the Rainbow stuff from afar, but this thing could be the greatest piece I've ever set eyes on. WTF?! Pure genius. Anybody know the origins of this character? I stole the pic from KT btw...

I love this things, I just CAN NOT afford them. They're crazy though, wish I could get some but I can live without them. One day I'll get that brain guy though.

The show is called 'Barom-1'. Creepy shit.
The link below shows all the F'd-up monsters.

I also had to get that Hasamiruge last night, love the exuberant asymmetry of all the Rainbow. The Togegeruge does look like a prickly pear or some other cactus/succulent.

wingclipper, got a similar Live Action pic of the Hasamiruge?

KT also (re-?)added the no-eye Dream Rocket Baragon since last night.

Man rainbow toys are becoming a favorite of mine. I may have to bit at some point. The sculpts and paint apps have that "dreamy" feeling to them. Just perfect !

I have the first two volumes of Barmon-1 on dvd, but they don't have subtitles or menus (only chapters). Strange stuff. Makes you appreciate the toys much more.

I know exactly what you mean. From what I've seen, Rainbow vinyls are the most expensive out there. What gives? Even on the Japanese sites, these are over $100 from the get go. Anyone know why they charge so much?

I assume it is because they release less of each sculpt. Many figures only see one colorway and they have never had more than three.

Decypher, I think the ear demon you're referring to is actually the thorn demon pictured at the top of this thread, kinda looks like an ear. All 3 new Rainbow demons were released in the past couple days. Anyone pick up the neck demon? If so, let's see some pics. These 3 are so much more appealing to me than the mushroom, dragonfly and Frankeruge demons released a couple months ago.

I really like the monsters from Barom-1 - I just wish the Rainbow figs were done in a bit more of a MaruBuru stylee. I like them but not at the prices they command..
hopefully they will make some ant men thems is cool!

yeh i know i was just too lazy to look up the real names so i just refer to them as what they look like heh. I did order all of those three, the first two were supposed to be sometime in September but Celga says to wait a bit longer. I'm getting really ansy for these guys, i've been waiting months lol. I'm really looking forward to the THN exclusive octo guy as well.

Now i just need those brains, a hair demon and, sigh, maybe one day those horribly expensive holy grails. I think these figures are great at looking like they are little guys wearing monster costumes, it's hilarious. I've always been impressed with the quality but i do agree with Data, some cheaper mini-figs would be cool to sprinkle around the big guys.

By horribly expensive holy grails, do you mean the vintage standard size figures?

Ant men would be cool. Along with a new Ikageruge (squid) and Okozaruge (stingfish).
I'm guessing these are in the works as Frankenruge was released earlier this year.

I like the vintage mini-figs but certainly not cheap.

ahh the vintage would be a holier holy grail. I'm talking about the hand and lips demons, i've lost where i wrote their real names. With the sort of prices they are marked as i don't think i could ever go that high for a single piece but maybe one day i'll get lucky and get it in a trade or something.
