Is this a special material, really good paint, or actually vac-metallized like I mentioned the other day in the SB section?

Incredibly AWESOME!

Get these, we must.

Especially silver for me. ^_^

I am sure they are Vinyl and like Nostro mentioned probably vac-metalized. It is possible. I know there are a few of the 400% Kubricks that are "metalicized" but they are of a different plastic composition.

Very Curious.

And hey Z - here's anotheron for you. "Were a couple of misfits, we're not just nitwits, just cause my nose glows, why don't I fit in......."

I am guessing that they are simply electroplated.

I just thought that electroplating may crack being on a soft plastic like vinyl. They look real nice though. Guess we shall find out what they are made of soon enough.

The cracking definitely sounds possible, but have you inspected the metallic Gargamel Gacha Mecha, or Gacha Dos up close? They look electroplated to me.

Hyper - I didn't think of the Gargamel Gacha. I haven't seen a chrome one in the flesh though. Until I got my own Gacha (not chromed) I tghought they were hard plastic. I was surprised when I finally got mine.

If you want 'em, get 'em!

Each metal is up for 6000 yen (each), which is pretty amazing. Looks like most auctions end on 5/1/06...
