Looks like Tripasu is the main focus. Did U know what's is the retail for the painted version & the unpainted version?

The run size and price at retail are important as opposed to the actual figures.

Either of these questions will piss off many real collectors and asking both back to back in seperate posts is particularly ignorant.

Like that paintjob better than MN's SDCC release (though it's nice, too).

That is sweet. I love this sculpt, and might have to try to stalk them all down. Hope I can score one of the SDCC ones.

Post Re: Debut painted Tripasu
this one has such a better paint job than the SDCC one...unless they're the same and the picture that was in the SDCC thread just looked different...

I want this one...hurm.

I actually like the artwork on the header better than the figure itself.

About the price, pretty standard - 5500 yen for the painted and 4500 for unpainted. (Side note: Factories are charging more and more and more to produce vinyl figures, so you can well expect just about every company to start raising their prices. This stuff is very expensive to make.)

This is not the same version as the one being sold at SDCC. This one was painted by Naoki. The SDCC version is a Nagata paint.

I like them both. Very different styles, which is one reason this is such a cool project. It's going to be pretty exciting to see the versions they both come up with!

Is his left arm meant to be that much out of proportion with his right?

I like the sculpt a lot and the paints rule, but in person it's too big and bulky for me. The back of the header kind of bummed me out too. Can't argue with those paint jobs though, top notch.

I don't mind the head sculpt, but the arm looks pretty stupid. As for the paint...it just looks like every other cronic figure to me.

Post Re: Debut painted Tripasu
the size thing worried me a little since I'd want this with my Cronic stuff...but no matter what I'd love to score one of the Naoki paints...

waaah.

Wow, love this much more then the MTC one. Mark usually does great paintjobs but this is sick, the left hand actually looks like a shark.

Hate to be missing out on these. Will there be any kind of post-SDCC retail release?

A catalog of other Maxtoy releases. It's an extremely minor complaint, but sort of ruins the aesthetics on an otherwise killer header.
