 They're Back!
... And they want to "Borrow your head!"
Turns out these were based on some completely mental old Chinese horror movie which we were treated to a screening of at Pachikaiju last night.
(The dolls themselves were our 'omiyage' and one of the best things I picked up!)
This witch utters the immortal words "I just need to borrow your head!" then, disembodied and trailing entrails, floats around doing vampire things. Great stuff!
So, especially for you missy, just one more look ... okay?

I've been looking for that Movie for years.
I always thought it was based on a legend from Thailand?

Shit, I knew someone was gonna ask that ...
I just assumed it was Chinese I'm afraid.
There were some American actors in it though,
so Paul could be right, it may have been Thai.
It was playing off a DVD, but that may have been home-recorded.
There's a lot of weird stuff on late-nite cable here.
Baikin or Datadub, did you catch the title?

I own Mystics In Bali, but have not watched it in a while.
I can check it out and see if they are indeed from that movie.

I have not seen the movie, but it has been described to me... I think it's a loose association with the toys. I was told it was based on an old legend.

Besides Mystics In Bali, there are a bunch of Thai movies about these creatures too. They are called Krasue and they are like vampires but with just a flying head and guts. From what I understand they are to Southeast Asia what vampires are to Western culture.
Anyone have the Japanese characters for these? YJA is a calling!

right after i posted again on this thread, i checked one of those emails "your ebay favorite sellers new items" or whatever
beehive has one up for sale. LOL
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... :FSEL:US:1
i'm guessing yja will be the better deal if the fees don't get you.
"the fees are coming the fees are coming!"
