My friend and I were meeting up with his sister who was studying abroad for lunch in mid-Tokyo, and we were looking for a decent restaurant to try. For one reason or another we found each place to be too expensive, or they didn't have the right things we were looking for, so we just kept wandering around... Eventually we kinda noticed that the street signage was getting a bit more risque, and my friend's sister explained that we were now in Kabuki-cho. Apparently, while we were looking in the window of one of the restaurants, some dirty old guy asked her out for a date... she politely declined.
