Re: Cronic Black Parade Show @ OneUp
Here it is. I've wrotten and uploaded some pics so hope you'll enjoy it... http://svnl.exblog.jp/Well, custmaized pieces are very pricey. This guy was taken by the First person in the line. If my memory is correct, the price was 27,000-yen. The "opponent"- Mav is the highest and 28,000-yen, I think.

Re: Cronic Black Parade Show @ OneUp
It is indeed a fitting finale to BP2. A great day for Cronic. Each custom piece showcase the incredible talent and dedication of Cronic. However, the customs raised the bar so high now that I am actually a little concern how things will go in future for Cronic. Nonetheless, I look forward eagerly for BP continuing into the future.

Re: Cronic Black Parade Show @ OneUp
Post here what you got Joe! These pieces are museum worthy, IMHO. Context and concept wise, Naoki displays passion and vision at the BP. Not that sad that I'm not able to score any from this show, yet (hehe), but to view all these pieces, even on-line, is trilling for a fan. I can only dream of holding one in my hands....

Re: Cronic Black Parade Show @ OneUp
I've been following Cronic's development for nearly 3 years, and time after time, Naoki has come up with new ideas and concepts. One of these days, I'll get to that "Cronic Evolution" blog article I've been meaning to write... Anyway, if anything, I think Cronic has raised the bar for other kaiju makers. I hope other companies will start to make one-offs more accessible to fans at reasonable prices, since they give collections such a unique element. But design wise for upcoming production figures from Cronic...Naah, not worried at all. Just a few weeks ago at Pachisami, we saw some standard releases that kicked ass. Looking forward to the '09 lucky bags! (BTW, it says on the One Up blog that this is the "final" installment of the Black Parade. So not sure if Naoki will keep this up. I think the man deserves a rest!)

Bit depressing to see so many pieces being flipped from the latest show. Some beauties as well.

Re: Cronic Black Parade Show @ OneUp
Seriously. But it looks like some triggers are being pulled. A gorgeous multi-colored PS Maverasu (with one horn and a big ass sword) was bought for around 50,000 yen. That's going to be the center piece of someone's collection!
Clear grey Mav with pinstripes, bandana, and weapon was also sold for around the same price, I think.
I'm surprised at how many pieces from BP2 part 3 are showing up on YJA, since relatively few from parts 1 and 2 were there. Or maybe they were put up, bought and sold right away - I dunno...

Re: Cronic Black Parade Show @ OneUp
can anybody put up pics of the clear mav with bandana....from the yja auction ? or the link would be cool too...It´s closed by now so no sweat ! wanna save as many(cloese-up-) pics from the bp as possible and post them here all in one then..so we need not to jump from one thread to another, and from one blog to another...concentrated here in one thread....

Re: Cronic Black Parade Show @ OneUp
Looks like one of the best Zyurai's (clear blue with PS and weapon) was also bought on YJA. Folks are really going deep on these, to the tune of 40000-50000 yen a pop. Well, I dunno, maybe it's not that deep, considering how amazing these are, plus the fact that they're one-offs... The auction pics weren't very clear, so not much missed there. I didn't save links, but there are a ton of pics up both on the One Up site and Kaz's blog. I also imagine/hope the folks who got these will put up tons of pics when they get them!

This show also teaches me what the flipper's network is and the darkside of it (Of course "show" itself is awesome, you know.)

Re: Cronic Black Parade Show @ OneUp
Im gonna take better pics...but for now they are ok I think. it was hidden in the back of one-up´s detolf and you couldnt really see a lot of details (but also because of the dark color of the figure itself)....but it appeared to have more pinstripes than I thought ....

That's a mean Baku! Black PS over dark blue is subtle, but awesome!
I want to see this Baku holding a metal spikeball.

Jurgen, that Bakurasu is just bad! I love his weapon and the pinstriping is very subtle on him. Nice pick up!
