Re: FiveStar Toys
Yeah, it's great that they're able to pull stuff like that off. It's my understanding that a complete vinyl figure has all of its parts on a single mold, so that whatever type of vinyl is used on one part is used on *all* the parts. Apparently, FiveStar either has all their parts on different molds (crazy-$$) or they've figured out some other system of pouring/pulling individual parts on a single mold in different vinyls.
Anyway, I have the dark red Buffaloman with GID horns, and it's the same sort of thing as this new Brocken Jr. Very cool! I still need the regular blue-uniform version of him...
So is Yudetamago-chan an actual character in any of the Kinnikuman manga? Or is he just the creators' mascot/self-portrait character?

Not quite sure what kind of system they have going on, but I really dig those small GID variants as well. I am really hoping we see a Five Star US Con exclusive figure if Yudetamago are really able to make it out here next year... SDCC fingers crossed. As far as Yudetamago-chan goes both Nakai and Shimada have shown up in the comics over the years as background characters in the crowd for example, but they are never called out by name. The Yude-chan figure is an amalgamation of both their comic faces.

Crap. I just bought that same Project 1/6 Sunshine (from Rakuten, even) a week ago at retail! I'm really excited to get him but that's still kind of a bummer.

Re: FiveStar Toys
Heh...and I picked up that very same Terryman offa Y!J just a couple months ago. Fortunately, it was only 4300, so not much more than Rakuten's offer. Still need me a black/grey Warsman and a blue Brocken Jr, damnit!

Sanjeev wrote: Hasn't been a new sculpt in a while...I hope FiveStar is still doing okay... They are planning on releasing a sculpt of Geronimo later this year, and just unveiled a new Warsman head sculpt for a collab with Punk Drunkers. Outside of that though, it is pretty surprising how little new sculpts they have released over the past few years... It is a two man operation though, so they pretty much keep busy by busting out infinite numbers of variant colors and special design collabs.

Re: FiveStar Toys
Yeah as I've said before, it's hard to watch this thread. By far one of my top favorite toy lines. Difficult to see all of the new stuff come and go with no means, cash and hook up, to acquire.

There should be some more unpainted releases this year due to all the Kinnikuman festivities running now through July (Osaka Street Festival, Kinnikuman vol 38 release, Shinsekai celebration and Kinnikuman day). In case anyone missed this earlier in the thread: http://asyuramankakaka.web.fc2.com/sub24.html
