Re: A Nag Pa I Root
Well, the Tara situation might have sucked, but that latest Nag is gorgeous.

sad that a painted one went this way. No dissent just truth. Not trying to bash anyone on a personal level. Totally makes it worse that the awesome work of Shig was stripped away. But whatever "it's his toy maaaan!" blah blah blah.

I'm into it. Really like how you matched the color of the lips to the eyes.

Re: A Nag Pa I Root
It looked so good, and now it looks so meh. Why didn't you at least hunt down an unpainted? Even the non painteds look so good on their own, that I would be hard pressed to fuck up those as well. (This is coming from a guy that likes to paint toys BTW) fart fart fart.

Re: A Nag Pa I Root
Frank, I was just WAITING for the day when you were going to paint this. And I'm PRETTY sure Frank is keeping this toy till the day he dies. So yes, for collectors, the toy in its original NAMBA paint app might not see the light of day in their hands, but I don't think it ever was if he didn't paint it.
All in all, it's still a NAG, it still has four-eyes, and the sculpt hasn't changed.

Re: A Nag Pa I Root
I think I tend to carry the "it's his toy, he can do whatever he wants with it" attitude, but it does suck that the time and effort that went into the original application was nothing but a waste. Hunting down an unpainted model might have been a better idea, and less of a waste-not that this was a necessarily a waste, as long as you're happy with it, don't give a shit what any of us have to say about it.
Personally, that was my least favorite Boryoku Genjin colorway, so not a big loss in my mind. However, I'm not too fond of the "toy found in a puddle of oil" look either. Cool effect, just not my cup of tea.

Re: A Nag Pa I Root
In all honesty though, do you guys think it would be easy for him to "track down an unpainted one?" We're talking about Nags here.

what a shame, I mean it would be different if it were a blank or even production run. Way to ruin it lol. How can Shigeru not be offended? Got to be a huge insult.

Re: A Nag Pa I Root
As a nagless one, this is irritating. That being said the paint job isn't horrible. I'm not sure it took balls to do such a thing, more so lack of respect. I agree with Ribbon Controller, I would paint the Tara nag. I think it looks great but I despise everything that release represents.
