Not to derail this thread but seriously how many guys here have this issue? I'm lucky that my mailman delivers the EMS packages early around 11am when I'm here, rather than normal 5pm when I'm not. Doesn't really matter though my g/f has a photographic memory and knows whenever I get a new one. Lately she's been cool though...

Anyhow definitely run pickle.......

I miss all the drama.

Having to intercept packages before the mrs arrives.
Having to discard the packaging so mrs doesn't discover it.
Having to incorporate the new toy into the collection without the mrs noticing.

You forgot the...hiding toys in the closet and only taking them out to snap photos when the mrs is gone...part.

ok, she just emailed me from home to ask me a question about the laptop

which means she is on the sofa with her shoes off

no way she makes it out to the mailbox now

i should be in the clear

that's why i get them delivered to my office. well, that and there is always someone here to sign for things when needed



it lives in the back of my Element until friday mornings when i can chuck it on the curb for the recycling pick up

Ya know, I lived that life. Now I make sure EVERYTHING comes home and bust it open right in front of the wife. It's much nicer. If we really CAN afford it she doesn't get mad, if we CAN'T I just don't buy it due to fear of her wrath.

Wait, so none of you has resorted to having items sent to your work address on the sly to try and avoid some of this? Geez, maybe I need help.
I've only done that when I think there's a variety of packages arriving which might earn me some frowns.

My wife is pretty cool with it though. I actually like when something is waiting for me and she says knowingly "Whadya get?"

I'm saying that I live alone so I don't experience any of this silly drama.

I get the "Whadya get?" but depending on her mood it's good or bad. Lately it's more of a annoyed what did you get? She used to be interested in the cool looking japanese toys but now not so much at all.

Wow. I must be the luckiest guy around. My wife just says "you've got another package" then she determines if it's cute or not, if it's a toy. End of story. She's more likely to roll her eyes at another pair of sneakers before she does at another toy.

My heart skipped a beat when my other half watched "Toy Punks" and proclaimed that the BxH Kuns were nice So now they get to occupy the shelf under the "cute" stuff. Rebel Ink she's not so keen on.

Not sure how she'd feel about the Zudon...I might have to test the theory!

I was going to say, I'm pretty lucky too.

My boyfriend gets all of my toys at his office. I can't have stuff delivered to my office, and stuff from EMS is tough because of the signature. i get the email " Another figure arrived from so and so just now.."

I couldn't imagine living like that. He rolls his eyes at how much some of it costs from time to time, but understands my hobbies just like I understand his.

let me know if you figure something out. mine is getting awfully perceptive. she told me recently that my recent bearmodel YJA lot reminded her of the "older marmit stuff that you like". I didn't know she knew a marmit from a hibachi. she was in my office eyeballing my toys last night. i asked her what she was doing. "just looking" she said... "don't you think it's good that I'm showing an interest in your hobby?"

interest in my hobby? more like taking inventory I'd guess.
