People, would freak out just as much and ask even more questions. Mishka conducts a secret sale without receiving any flak, plus all the publicity afterwards. The best hype is when the fans do the hyping.

And everyone had plenty of notice and knowledge of the release long before it dropped. This is blatant Nag commercialism all over again. Can't wait to see these on ebay just in time for Christmas. Thank God there are still retailers (like S7, Bwana, Max Toys, PK and MVH) who think of collectors first, and the dollar second. I can't say if they do NOW but they did, for some time. 2- The regular Camo Zags were sold direct from Gargamel at SDCC so they would be cheaper, no extra parties (even S7 charges more then Garg would direct, every toy retailer does), just them. I think the Camo Hedo's, the 1st release of these, were sold for $300+ by S7 on this board in the BST thread. It was the same thing, Kiyoka painted them, but as we were told on ALL camo releases took a long time, extra effort etc to paint hence the price increase and the low edition numbers. 3- The "SECRET EMAIL" was a situation, like a year or 2 back, where Greg ON THIS BOARD publicly stated to contact him (at the time) and he'd sign you up. It was pretty public, you just had to be reading the thread, it wasn't a secret really. Then there's the argument "if they were sold publicly more flippers would have gotten them" then there's "yeah but WE'D ALL have a chance!" that's all something no one knows. It's such a boring and dead end argument. Again, I'm not discrediting your frustration, but there were some things I felt needed being put out there in addition to your comments. This was a new release. Me posting it did not include a link for sale or anything. I was posting a new release. I didnt jack up the price at all. Ask Brian how much he adds to the wholesale cost as he tries to run his business. You continually show your lack of ignorance for the wholesale/retail business model.

Re: New Gargamel Figs! I do understand the model very well. For years, many portions of that model were rejected on this board in support of taking care of the community here. The banks in the US use a model too, and look were it is now getting them.
I personally have no problem with the price, just how it was conducted. Just posting a picture, then asking if people go an email is hyping a sale if placed in an info thread with no more info, even after the sell out of the toy.
Why not ask Gargamel if they would expand their release, or have a second release, then conduct a lottery here (or through your list) for the additional figures? You could charge the same price, or even more if your model costs change, but that would be more fair. Why? Because then serious Gargamel collectors would have a chance. The limit on the release to 10, the lowest number of any multiple release that I am aware of for a standard Zag figure, distorts the demand because then many people who might not otherwise buy the toy are going to buy it because it is limited, and thus more valuable because a set base of collectors will be hunting it later. I can only imagine how some of Gargamel's Japanese base will react to this news.
