Yup. Clear. But sorry its not green, its clear blue.
He painted them fr the inside, and I think fr outside too, the colors are insanely vivid for a reverse painting.
Interestingly, I only saw one flip on YAJ and thats a Doru. No Chiosu whatsoever.
Unless they went too fast.

I am still holding out hope that these are gonna be a general release.

I dont reckon you would go to all the trouble and cost of getting your chiosu cast in clear blue and clear pink if your only planning on doing a small HP run of 10 each- I think this is the tip of the iceberg, if not the same colours, id still say that a general release of a chiosu in a clear blue and pink is coming.

Are any of the shops hearing any info about this?

Not to be pessimistic - but why do you think that? With the numerous one-offs done by SK & a good history of short/very limited runs, I don't doubt the production # on these one bit.

As much as we'd like to hope otherwise, and enjoy scoring these, I'd just guess "damn, very few lucky bastards got those painted clears!" LOL

nobody even has any production numbers so don't get ahead of yourself.
Samba may very well be right, the last large sculpt that made it to a clear casting (orange Gaezal) was released 3 times with 3 different paint jobs.

Yeah it is pure speculation, but based on a few key factors, but I guess it can be read either way and I am a naturally optomistic person anyways!

Lets hope now SK have a little distribution thing with S7 and LLB they know they have more mouths to feed! :D

Thanks to D for the great deal.

i've seen pics of these, but never one in person. the mid section looks to have articulation on both sides, how does that work?

I think that it's jointed, but without any functional articulation at the waist. There's no other way to cast a figure with a donut-shaped torso without doing a u-shape or splitting it in half.

cool. thanks for the clear up. i don't know much about the process of toy making, but now that you state this, it makes sense. i figured it was virtually impossible to get some articulation there! nonetheless, this paint up (and sculpt) is amazing! i really like all the shikaruna stuff, but it's all pretty much out of my price range...

I hear that. I love their sculpts and paint apps... they are all seriously amazing. But I have neither the shelf space nor deep enough pockets for everything, so I never let myself get started. Almost caved for that Dorol, but in the end I'm glad I didn't. Keeping up with the stuff I collect now is more than I can afford!

Yeah, I really can't wait to check these guys out in hand. :D
I like it better than the Marmit version, although the expression on that one is a little sillier(which is awesome).

This l'il dude looks way better in person than in the online photos. The colors are intense and of course the sculpt details are fantastic. I like that the yellow vinyl is matte/semi-translucent rather than shiny "clear." Nice, nice.

I actually prefer the Marmit's open mouth/beak. I'm partly bugged by sculpts with filled in mouths that are depicted open via paint - I know, I'm a weirdo. The SK sculpt is still great lookin, and I really love the paint :D

I think he's referring to the Marmit version that was up for pre-sale.

I agree

Yeah, the lazy mouth sculpting on the SK was the first thing I noticed. Turrible.

The Marmit version, however, kicks much ass.

Yeah. It was my pet peeve for a while, until SK came along.
Somehow his sculpt has an overall proportion, scale, detailing and of course that awesome paint apps, that made it ok.
IMO, SK's version's heftier and "feel" more like a std 9" vinyl.
