 Re: New Gargamel Figs!
Did anyone happen to pay attention to the description on the new Gargamel web store for the lucky bags?
"The bags in 2012. 6 + a bonus three-body encapsulating suit large and small. I molded for all bags. "
WTF?

 Re: New Gargamel Figs!
6 main toys plus 3 bonus toys(micros like last year?)- so 9 toys total?
I took body encapsulating suit large and small to mean it is a variety of different sizes. That is just a guess though.

Every toy was made just for the lucky bag". Do you think the clear blue pocket helpers Tim Biskup posted on his Instagram are LB's? Anyone seen spoilers?

 Re: New Gargamel Figs!
I just need one each of any of the zags, be they standard, mini, crouching, or micro. I plan on purchasing a bag and immediately offering the remainders for sale or trade. I have been checking YJA for spoilers, but none as of this morning. Anyone?

If anyone's gonna just throw their full-size Deathras into the trash, I'll take 'em instead.

 Re: New Gargamel Figs!
Okay, this has confused me for a long time… And maybe this isn't the right place to ask, but I'm asking here, so deal with it.
What's the difference between a Hedorah and a Hedoran?

What's the difference between a Hedorah and a Hedoran? KaijuZoo wrote: "The mini Gargamel Hedoran and their other larger ones are based on the very first Smog Monster toy ever made. In 1971 when Godzilla vs. Hedorah was released, the Japanese company IKB produced their line of Smog Monsters which included standing, walking and flying/crawling versions. They came bagged with header cards and an orginal MIB example sold on eBay this past August for around $435. They show up on Yahoo Japan once in a while as well. The Super 7 article indicates that there is confusion as to whether the IKB Hedorah's were bootlegs or perhaps licensed by Toho but did not have the standard copyright and sticker references that we have seen since the later '70's. More information can be found in Super 7 issue 2, page 46." As for the similar Hedorah - Hedoran names, it is clear from the Super 7 article photo and the image from the recently posted Yahoo Japan vintage auction that IKB (with the Katakana) labeled the figures as Hedorah. That said, I am not positive if it was Gargamel that much later introduced the Hedoran nameplate. John

 Re: New Gargamel Figs!
I think much like Zagoran instead of Zagora, Hedoran instead of Hedorah is because it is not a licensed product. They took previously unheard and unappreciated (for the most part) vintage bootleg figures and reinterpreted those figures in the Gargamel style. In doing so, they also altered the name slightly to show it was their take on it.

Urgh. Hate spoilers. I'd say edit your pic and post it here: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=41577Or else you're gonna have some unhappy people.

 Re: New Gargamel Figs!
lots to learn in terms of board etiquette. while folks appreciate the info you share, you'll get the hang of things as people guide you. thanks for the spoiler, some really cool figures. but as a potential retailer, it might not be the best move to reveal the contents of a blind bag purchase to potential customers.
