I really wanna like the armor..but it seems like it'll just make the toy look confusing and distracts away from the original sculpt. The original sculpt is already awesome on it's own. Kind of makes it look tacky. I just don't know why some giant disgusting mutated gelatinous human devouring blobs would need armor in the first place. I'm all for accessories but the armor on this blobpus just seems out of place for some reason. Maybe because the colors?

Who knows, maybe it'll grow on me. I'll probably end up getting one eventually so I'll just shut up.

totally agree with you.
I am disturbed by the difference of the modelling style too... but anyway, I like it.

Same here. The solid red color looks really great.

Post Re: Blobpus News, Releases & Your Stuff
Hi Everyone,

Not to change subjects but can anyone tell me what they would pay if someone was offering the Blobpus Dokugan Atomize version? I have a friend of a friend asking me what I would pay.

Thanks for your help.

Patrick

Why don't you tell "your friend of a friend" to make up his own mind how much it is worth to him instead of fishing for offers. Then you can decide if his offer is too high or not. But my advise would be not to buy from a person who comes at you from the make me an offer standpoint.

And back to the subject...

The red blobpus is really cool.

Where did the armor pictures come from and is this going to be released? Or are these test shots? Someone can pm me with details if they have any.

My eyes bugged out when I saw this. Leave it to BLObPUS to stoke the flames of my dying vinyl addiction.

You can see that the red arm nub is still there, the 'skullblob' attachment is just missing to make room for the claw. He's even more of a fight figure now!

I'm with you. I love me some Blobpus but the armor doesn't work for me. I love the organic quality of the figure and think it works best on its own. The addition of what appears to be old school metal armor a la gladiator is not for me.

Just saw your Bufagin exhibition Blobpus pics Tim, AMAZING!
Some of the finest painting I've ever seen on a fig. Great scores!

Spot on. It doesn't really "work" with the Blob sculpts. It looks like an attempt to force the Diablo aesthetic on the original sculpts. Interesting idea but it looks really awkward in the photos.

I think 2 differents styles because 2 differents sculpt designers.
Tiger Jet Michiko for the OG Blobpus sculpt and Kaji for Diablo, Andagon and this armor.
Anybody can confirm that ?

I think of a human body holding a sword or shield, the texture of the weaponry wouldn't be organic. So I think it's true in that sense. The clash between the organic and metallic is interesting to me. I think I enjoy it more than I would additional Blobpus like extensions.

Great paint on this. I like the attachments but would have prefered something more organic.

Holy shit! I must admit, I know next to nothing about Blobpus past the sculpts... what is it going to take to actually try and get this?

A third party buyer, a timely response, and about a $70 markup. They're GID too.

Accidentally got a couple of them. I'd consider a trade for an Anraku Vader Dako or a one off Goga only.

If not I'll display one with the armor and one without the armor. I'd trade a set of armor for an Anraku Vader Venus Gorilla (must be giant version) or a vintage Les Paul Guitar.
