Atom should be doing up some GID Mutant Chaos's for the event on Sunday, too. Based on the craziness of his Superfest release, this one's bound to be great.

Mutant Chaos painted by Dream Rocket! I'm in heaven. Guess not too many people cared for these, judging from the comments.

I still can't figure out how he painted these. I thought it was a light black wash over spray painted colors, but the black is actually the base vinyl color showing through- at least on the lower part of the body. Lots of clear coat, too. It's a busy color scheme, but very complex.

Did these go on sale already?

Quite a while ago- Superfestival in April.

I thought they looke familiar. Man if one isn't at the hobby full-time, it's hard to keep up.

They look brushed to me--with a clear coat sprayed over. I wouldn't know though.

These were definitely an acquired taste, but in Daniel's pic, look quite nice together

Pretty much an irrelevant enquiry given that they were uber limited, available only from 1 booth at a 2-day Japanese festival months ago and sold out pretty much immediately . . . it's a sellers market, I suggest you just pay what you think they're worth if you are looking to buy.

I actually really like those. Oh hell! Figures the only chaos ,aside from the burnt marshmellow, I want will be impossible to score.

Thanks guys... yes, acquired taste. I think that describes about 90% of my toy collection. Kind of like natto.

@hypnotiq- they were sold at the normal 3800 yen price point, blind-bagged. One of mine even came with the brown paper bag. (Original packaging!) But I can't imagine there were too many because they look pretty labor-intensive.

Eh, it's only been a couple of months. I'm sure we'll see a few surface here and there.

I'm pretty pick with which Eastern vinyl that I like, but I absolutely love these, and 3800 yen seems very reasonable for the amount of work that must have taken them.

if i remember correctly, they were 5000yen.

Then roughly double that if you live in the states....

That chaos is old news, but this one.....well......reminds me of a napkin while water-coloring. Very nice indeed
