One more lottery loss. Sigh. Congrats to the winners, anyway!

Crud, missed this one completely. Was there an unpainted Oilshock?

 Re: New Elegab sculpts!
^ An unpainted option would have been great on both releases but they're painted really well this time, I can't complain.
1st elegab win in a while for me.

 Re: New Elegab sculpts!
I bet he will. It seems to be something he does more with a new sculpt. He did blanks of the Darabunga and the Torionga.

 Re: New Elegab sculpts!
The overal figure is nice and I love the face & arm. But the pimples are really out of place and ugly. Or are those planets ? They should be better colored, silver, gold or metallic paint. For the first time in an Elegab release, I don't like the colors at all, I may even not take it unless there is a B or C type radically different And I'm skeptical concerning the figure to keep its balance on a shelf.

I'll pass.

 Re: New Elegab sculpts!
I'm inclined to agree about the color choices on this one, although I have more of a problem with the green vinyl than the paint scheme. I think this toy is a great idea, and I love the planets and asteroids, so I would have thought black vinyl would be the ideal choice here. Maybe Nari feels like he's done too much black vinyl recently, but everyone here has been pretty enthusiastic about it. I know I wouldn't mind more.
I'm still going to go for it -- I haven't met an Elegab toy yet that I didn't like, and they almost always look better in hand than in photos.
As for balance, remember that Mr. X is one of the most top-heavy Elegab toys and it can stand on one foot, so I'm not too worried about this guy.

Down the line, there may be versions that I like more, but I like this one enough to try for it when the time comes.

I want one on black vinyl with swirls and splashes of metallic paint.

You are right -- I didn't have the picture in front of me when I wrote that. I do like the blue vinyl, but I'm hoping to see another paint version to pick from. Another good thing about Elegab is the first release of any new toy is always a preorder instead of a lottery, so there's no trying involved, and no worry of missing it.

Love the black hole critter! It would be great to get him in red glow, with a black or dark purple rub.

 Re: New Elegab sculpts!
Wow, I think I might like the unpainted version better than the blue painted one that we previously saw.

If it comes unpainted in that yellow-orange I'll have to get 1. He can battle with my S-taiin.

The unpainted black is amazing. I hope he will propose blanks and that the painted ones will be space-ish !
