damn this is some hate.
FYI: this toy release is 100% customs made by RM owner. each one is different than the next and as far as I am concered a really cool custom. It is rad because it is just not paint on a toy it is changing the form to an exisciting figure in a weird way.
another to be fully clear there was no wholesale on this toy. it was only offered to s7 for staff collections. The suggested retail was 18000yen
$300 is a little much for the toy, but I know the hate would be much lowere if an "artist" name was attached to the toy and some promotion was done ahead of time.

at 18k yen there would be much less hate but span's price was double that.
if an "artist" name were attached to it then it wouldn't be the same product. biskup sells his handpainted pieces for not too much more than this, but he also sells paintings for $25k so a comparison isn't exactly valid here. these also aren't even 1-offs ... they're all different, yes, but all done in the same style so they're as much 1-offs as any other "spray" kaiju pieces.
it's all about the price. for half i would buy one and not be too bothered if it didn't blow me away once i saw it in person.

I'd prefer it to go to the bay in that case. Besides, I thought what Isaac actually did was to say "ask for a price" rather than ask for offers.
i can live if either so let's put it to a vote.

I definetly would have jumped at the Suggested Retail Price...its the double that price that SoS decided on that I incompleted my Damns over...isnt this worse than "flipping" in a way...as a retailer to get it from the Maker at approx 1/2 of 18ooo yen=75$( maybe Im off here, but 1/2 is typical...correct?)...then to retail at 300.
In a round about way this is what happened with the OBC. ? I dont agree with the way that sale went down ....but he is scorned for it.
In some ways Id rather pay a flipper for an over top Flip than a retailer for an over the top flip LOL!!!
Again..Suggested Retail seems like a fair price !

there was no wholesale... SoS probably bought them at 18000 yen and then put there normal markup on them.

well if thats the case that the retailers had to pay suggested retail then its not nearly as bad..but it does seem strange kinda that retailers paid suggested retail....doesnt it?
i thought Ramos ment no wholesale for the ones offered to S7 staff....sorry Ramos Im still unclear LOL!
When I sleep to little....... I ramble and sometimes dont get it !

the price on these BEFORE shipping was a straight 18000, no cheaper wholesale etc.
Im not 100% sure but the eater is probably the most LTD damn to date
Quote: Im off here,but 1/2 is typical...correct?
without going into it too much, its a very very rare occasion when wholesale is 50% of retail price

You're off. The "maker" charged just over double what you're speculating.

I really doubt it tis less limited than the 1st gid damn. I have only see 2 ever show up for sale in the last 2 years, I only know of 4-5 people who have one.
