That is a good idea, in case Ikea goes out of business.

Detolfs are for nerds. The billy is the wave of the future.

Gotcha, nice catch. I have no idea and am now totally confused as to what I'm getting lol. el word wrote: Right, but on the site it says it says "Skeleton Pink x ZigZag black" which I took to mean that the skull is clear pink vinyl with a black painted zigzag.

LamourSupreme wrote: i finally saw one (clear) in person and I have to say that you really need to see and hold these things in person to appreciate them. amazing. This quote is 1,000,000% correct. I got home after having an emergency with my girl and her broke a$$ ankle (no, I love her to death) and found these dudes waiting (the housekeeper signed, sweeet). I have to say the paint is so thick it almost pop's off the substrate, where the eye socket bone is painted (below and slightly to the left from what would be the eyebrow) they nailed it so cleanly and really brought out the detail of that kinda crack break part (got close-ups). They also did this overspray technique which you can see, its pretty cool to me. Its more pronounced on the black skull. Seriously, all SB Vinyl goodness in these and you will not be disappointed. The black is a bit heavier than the pink (yes el word, you were right ) but I think its because of denser vinyl. They both look and feel great, theres allot of details you absolutely cannot see in the SB photos which surprised the hell out of me. Great pieces hands down!!!!!

Prolly gotta see it in person to see all the little details, but that black one is pretty sweet though.

Re: 1/1 SB Skullz Released----2 Versions
that is under spray on the black skull, looks like they stenciled the bolts but didn't bother to properly stick the stencil down, when you spray it makes the stencil lift getting it under the stencil and got that on there, usually pretty undesirable and considered a fuck up, but it works on those, weird that they did it on purpose

Re: 1/1 SB Skullz Released----2 Versions
Either way these guys look keen. The black is so shiny you can see yourself in its reflection (literally). The jaw bones are well defined and elaborately curved and grooved. There are bumps and grooves in the forehead like a real human skull (I own 2 so I know) and the overall feeling when looking at them is eerie. I have had a couple people stop by to say get well to my girl and they all freak on the surealism these have. I will continue to purchase if they continue to drop them.

These colors are so F'in sweet, love the native style tribal as well. These are only sold through http://WWW.WHIZ.JP however I cannot find them in their store so I think you might need to email and its possible these arent being sold overseas (bummed if thats the case).

I think Dead Presidents would kill one of these with his pin striping skills... this tribal style a little generic if you ask me...

sumatra71 wrote: this tribal style a little generic if you ask me... I think that was the point, to be minimalistic in design. Kinda fits with the first few skull releases if you think about it. Not sure, just analyzing. You are def onto something with artist's designing these things. Think if Pushead got ahold of one o'those (or designed his own through SB) or any number of other sick artist's. Just the family of SB artist's that have worked with them thus far would be dank as sh!$.

I think I would like these if they were smaller, maybe half the size.

At how much these are I like tracking down New Territory ceramics better, cost about the same. EDIT: Forgot to mention they came with the jawbone too, the top rests in there nicely, oh and they are casted from a real human skull. Posted about these in whatever before looking for someone that knew any more info on them (its a japanese ceramics company)

Re: 1/1 SB Skullz Released- New Versions 09-18-08
Thats cool allot of people dont like them. There is tons and tons of Stuff here on this board I feel the exact same about, "why in the F would anyone like, or buy that". So I understand their not for everyone but they are for me so I will continue to be purchasing and collecting SB skulls as long as they keep dropping them.

Its not the actual design application for me, its the very vibrant colored vinyl they use.
