 Re: COSMO LIQUID GARAGE TOY
Not really into this kind of conceptual toy, but I do think it would look pretty funny among a collection of fight figures.

I'm glad I'm not the first to mention [expletive deleted] But I see no difference.

 Re: COSMO LIQUID GARAGE TOY
I mean, if we didn't KNOW who did this and WHY they did it, everyone would be calling it garbage out right. Knowing WHY it was done slightly validates it, to me, but I find no actual appeal in looking at it and would never want one in the least. It's not even bad enough to HATE, it's just "meh." But again, I get the idea and think it's kind of funny WHY he did it.

It really reminds me of about a thousand Western things that have come out in the last couple of years. I have to say that I do like the header, though - it has kind of a '60's feel to it.

 Re: COSMO LIQUID GARAGE TOY
...So almost 5 years later, this figure is making it's US debut. Not sure if Luke got hold of unsold old stock or they pulled more.
What's the 2013 consensus. I actually have always liked these, surprisingly, because any more I don't really care about any fight figure. but I think they are super clean, it's a fight figure stripped down to represent its essence.

 Re: COSMO LIQUID GARAGE TOY
Cosmo is one incredible sculptor. What I like most about his work is the amount of detail he puts into a figure. This sculpt lacks that quality I like in his work. It's not terrible looking but I just don't find it exciting. I doubt it will ever happen but I'd really like to see the other Taoking sculpt get made... (Dino-Monster in the back)

Most of his personal work is of a very similar smooth/organic nature.

 Re: COSMO LIQUID GARAGE TOY
^^ I love that picture of Kondo's work.
It's an interesting toy to say the least. A part of me likes how stripped down and minimalist it is and I like how the packaging has a bootleg vibe.

To me, it's kind of like Bounty Hunter. I appreciate the history and significance of the figure, but it's not something that I would collect.

Love it or hate it....gotta respect that he's doing it to make a personal statement. We already know what he can do.....but doing what he's not expected to do is cool. This is never going to be a popular figure with wide appeal but I don't think he cares.

 Re: COSMO LIQUID GARAGE TOY
not huge on this toy but after looking at it the right colorway could set it off, leave all the balls glossy black and do a mixed neon platter or fleckle over neon purple and boom bowlaramaway!

 Re: COSMO LIQUID GARAGE TOY
I'm tempted to get this because of Cosmo's great body of work - he has sculpted some of my favorite figures, BUT I really don't dig it enough. Its interesting though - reminds me of the trajectory some classic painters have taken - they can turn their hand to anything but choose to explore basic forms as a medium of self expression. As such that gets a huge plus vote. Good for him.
