Definitely a cool robot. The transparent head is a very interesting touch. He has seems to have a very Vader-esque chest panel :) I wonder if this is the same scale as the Jet Turre?

Although this line does not have a wide follower, I think the first ver of Good Robot turned out very nicely. The colours are wonderfully painted by sofbi master Nishimura-san of M1Go.

Are these still available anywhere? I really like the paint and the clear head is awesome

Oh shoot! I saw a pic of that dude but have been looking for info. I would love to get one myself. It's a fantastic robot design. Cool to hear it's painted by Nishimura, because it's gorgeous.

I love how he is a mash up of all these ocean elements. Amazing and super creative/original look and feel to this guy. I want to see 1 with metallic blue and green sprays.

Jetturre • Horumora by bansheebot, on Flickr

Horumora is one of the toys that got me back into collecting sofubi several months ago. He's a giant mass of creepiness. I absolutely love the character and plan on framing the anatomical drawing that came with him.

While I'm not a huge fan of Good Robot (I think it's an awesome sculpt with its asymmetry and clear car head, just too refined and clean for my personal taste), I'm really happy to see another knockout from Jetture.

BTW -- I believe the new guy's name is Kaithunder. Kai = ocean.

"Kai" would be seashell/shellfish. Umi would be ocean/sea. So "Shellfish Thunder" would be the characters name. The romaji is Kaisandā. But I know how we all love to mix Japanese with English. So I guess we will go with "Kai Thunder" as it sounds cooler. :D

EDIT: Yep, my bad it is "Ocean Thunder."

Actually, 'kai' is an alternate reading for the character for ocean. Although it's entirely possible that he created the name with both meanings in mind given the design of the character.

Interesting sculpt. The anchor kind of throws it off for me. If they could attach a chain to it I think it work better(Like the thing just ripped it right off a ship). All in all I like what Jet Turre have come out with.

Left in english "Ocean Thunder" sounds like something out of Power Rangers so I like the mix of Japanese and english, good choice. Also, thats a good idea adding a little chain to the anchor.

Has anyone had success emailing Jetturre ?

I used the jetsome@mirror.ocn.ne.jp with no response. I'm wondering if I used a wrong email.
