Toy Tokyo released a Takemi yesterday.
This place used to be where people would share information. It's pretty funny how it is now. Or not.

It is sad how little actual toy talk happens on here. Also, no one seems to get excited for anything anymore . . . (and if, it is seldom about actual Japanese toys . . . )

Re: Zollmen Database- updated 10/21/12
Maybe not publicly? I've certainly gotten very hype-conscious, so that if I love something I don't feel comfortable gushing about it and inadvertantly driving prices up... Open runs like Anraku/Medicom are the exception.

Re: Zollmen Database- updated 10/21/12
No one gets excited in public anymore (stop chuckling, you know what I mean) because as the article posted by Moog in the Nag thread goes to show, there have always been opportunists lurking to take advantage of "true collectors". Even if I manage to get a toy I'm excited about for myself, gushing about it might diminish other people's chances of getting it/subsequent runs for a fair price/at all. Obviously the situation hasn't gotten better in recent years with all those pesky kids crossing over from KR, where flipping is accepted and often even lauded, to Kaijooz. That being said, I find it hilariously ironic that someone just posted a toy that's not even been mentioned here once as trade bait for HxS, because that's how I found out that's the new hawt shit! I'm definitely excited about this, and since it's still available almost a week after being released I even feel comfortable posting a pic now:

Takemi, it's alright. having a reason to visit m3kcomp at Toy Tokyo. That's what it's all about.

Re: Zollmen Database- updated 10/21/12
Can't really complain about Zollmen not being active enough, only about half of the releases being impossible to get afaic. I think their output this year has been insanely awesome - that GID Draki, the blank black Zofbie set, the TT Takemi and now those Maza which seem to have gone mostly unnoticed (again)...

Re: Zollmen Database- updated 10/21/12
I'm only checking the Omo site so maybe I should have said that specifically. The new Maza collaboration seems really awkward in amongst all that women's clothing. I just hope we see a few more open orders down the line and a few less under the radar releases.
