Re: BEAR MODEL
One of the more recent releases for a change . . . google translate says his name is 'Jer Funder'. That sounds wrong to me. Does anyone know the actual English name for this one? The show he's from is 'Go! Godman'. He glows well too Jer Funder by The Moog Image Dump, on Flickr Jer Funder by The Moog Image Dump, on Flickr Jer Funder Glow Shot by The Moog Image Dump, on Flickr

Re: BEAR MODEL
^^ That sounds more like it . . . i will try to look it up.
Its a beauty in-hand. I like the way the tip of his tail has been chewed-off or something.
Thanks!

Re: BEAR MODEL
This really caught my attention, I'm loving all the texture. Are there any other BM Lion Maru sculpts?

Re: BEAR MODEL
Yep, the crazy textures are what i love the most about BM To be honest, i have no idea if they have done any other Lion Maru enemies . . . i bought this one kind of randomly. There is an unpainted version and a yellow colorway. The unpainted was on Mandarake a while ago. Here's a blurry pic of the yellow version:

Re: BEAR MODEL
That Debonaba got my attention as well, I've been trying to locate information on it but unfortunately found very little, the character is listed here with a small photo: http://z3.invisionfree.com/DTBlack/ar/t860.htm'Big in Japan' has good photos of that sofubi yellow vinyl release: http://www.biginjap.com/vinyl-toys/2441 ... igure.htmlAnyone have more info, links etc...?

Re: BEAR MODEL
What other information are you looking for exactly? I think is pretty much all there.

Re: BEAR MODEL
It was interesting that I could not find any other episode references, or photos of the sculpt besides Moog's & plastichunter's. This stuff is often very obscure. Your right! Its pretty much all there.

Re: BEAR MODEL
Ah okay, well as far as I know Debonoba was actually in several episodes of Lion Maru, starting with an appearance in Ep. 8. He was actually voiced by a few different actors. Here is another colour pic of him in his suit (not great res I am afraid), and one of the cool cutaway kaiju graphics. As for the toy, I am not sure about the yellow, which was a Medicom exclusive I believe, but I know Bearmodel also released the green version in an unpainted figure.

Re: BEAR MODEL
Yeah, i found most of that when i googled the kanji . . . thanks for the extra detective work. The fact he is called alter-ego is a bit confusing too. Who's alter-ego is he? Here's a few extra pics i took . . . i dont think my light-box shows-off darker figures that well. These colours are more accurate Debonaba by The Moog Image Dump, on Flickr more pics

Re: BEAR MODEL
Finally got my greedy mitts on these recent Mandarake exclusives . . . . painted by Leo Sofvi Bouya. I'm pretty sure these are brand-new sculpts. They are mid-size. From Ultraman Taro. Mandarake exclusive painted by LEOそふび坊や by The Moog Image Dump, on Flickr

Re: BEAR MODEL
Excellent figures man. Glad you were able to score them. I had to pass on these for lack of funds, but boy, there are great fun. Taro has got some of the funkiest kaiju characters, and Bearmodel is a perfect match to seem them realised as toys.

Re: BEAR MODEL
Its been too long since i scored some lovely BM. I remedied that recently with Gigan . . . . or as i like to call him - Turbo Chicken. More pics:

Re: BEAR MODEL
That is a really nice Gigan, great score! I like the extra textures in the arms and legs. And the 'folding' really captures that great rubber suit character. All around a very quality sculpt.

Re: BEAR MODEL
Ha, he Really does pull off the "turbo chicken" look best out of most Gigan sculpts out there. I can totally see him tearing up the countryside in a Chicken Run sequel Great figure, Moog

Re: BEAR MODEL
^^ Thanks peeps, its certainly a toy i underestimated until i got it in-hand . . . . and here's another one that landed this week. I was beginning to think I'd never score a BM Bullton, but then up popped this un-bagged beauty. Its got a few paint rubs but i dont care. It still looks great. I'm starting to really enjoy bulky non-humanoid figures recently . . . . more pics:

Re: BEAR MODEL
Moog, total score! I have the white unpaitned bulleton that came out in an early oughts luckybag. Its a fantastic sculpt if something of a sofubi white elephant. However I love it dearly who knew a rock could have such charm nice one!
