Have ya'll seen this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QV1W1VKGuh8It is ridiculous but entertaining none the less. Good thing that other guy put me on ignore so his sensitive ears don't get burned by the R3ggae.

wow! that's shit... on several levels. I didn't think it was possible, but Rancid have dropped even further in my estimation of them.

Rancid and Bearbricks, just when it seemed the Secret Base forum couldn't possibly suck more ass, it does.
How about a Good Charlotte/Bratz thread here next?

 Re: Hiddy listens to rancid
please update this if the album somehow is a grower b/c i passed on it today thanks to you loyal SB'r's
seems like all the side projects drained some focus and talent. not to mention recording in Utah is probably not great for pent up angst.
(how much angst do millionaires have anyways)

 Re: Hiddy listens to rancid
Totally agree. I've listened to it a few times and it is not growing on me. Don't waste your time. Stick with "Let's Go" & "...Out Come the Wolves"!

 Re: Hiddy listens to rancid
What about that b-sides CD that came out awhile back?
thumbs up or thumbs down? (hastings won't stock it. they are a "music" store that doesn't re-stock the music they sell. Damn mp3ers.)

 Re: Hiddy listens to rancid
I like it too, well some of it - the slower stuff is a bit dull. I do prefer and "Out Come teh Wolves" tho, and after listening to this its clear I didnt really need thhis album. But I have tons of stuff I dont need.
Man, I cant believe it, but the last time I saw Rancid was in 1995 or 96 at Roseland in NYC. Time f'ing flies.

 Re: Hiddy listens to rancid
I saw them in 1994 on their "Let's Go" tour. Great show! I'm scared to listen to anything new by them.

 Re: Hiddy listens to rancid
"Out Comes the Wolves" was more of a guilty pleasures album for me. Me and my buddies would play it and make fun of it, but deep down inside I knew we all liked it.

 Re: Hiddy listens to rancid
I think they write great songs...but worryingly I noticed some of the same great songs I first heard 15 years ago on this latest album

 Re: Hiddy listens to rancid
Why is this at all surprising to anyone? A guy like Hiddy is Rancid's whole fanbase. I still listen to Let's Go at least once a month. Shut up. Rancid is fun.
I want those Rancid be@rbricks from this album so bad. That said, Any of the songs I've heard off of this new one aren't great, but its still better than a lot of stuff coming out.
