Wow, nice Group. Jealous of that 8 Man. I loved that anime as a kid. Sci-fi used to play it all the time along side all that other stuff, Akira, vampire Hunter D, Demon City Shinkuku, I Bid on one not too long ago on YJA but lost the auction.

I love those elongated T-28's that Coop posted - I don't think I've seen those before. NH is a much underappreciated toy-maker.

Wow. Thanks for all the pictures. I love all the T-28s, but the meditating ones are just too dope.

Whole lot of wonderfulness, there, and a side of NH I hadn't seen, as I pay so much more attention to the monsters. Thanks for sharing, Coop!

I like those dinosaurs. It doesn't get much better than a robotic dinosaur, except maybe a robotic dragon.

Post Re: Neat and gnarly Nostalgic Heroes
Here are my mini 'ugly' Garys. This is one of those toys I fell in love with at first sight, and it has been a real quest to track down. That is what the real hobby is about though, and having these as the reward gives me so much joy. They remain one of my favourite versions of Garamon made yet. They may not be Nags or [insert expensive hyped toy], but I love them so much more than I could any of those.

If anyone can help me complete my incredibly long hunt with the fourth GID version, let me know. The Gary family are missing their brother! :)

^^^ I can see why you would spend some time hunting these Gary's down. They are really special. I do have a question though. I can't see any other articulation other than the arms. How are these pulled?

You can't quite make it out, but there is also a joint that goes all around the body just above the legs. The tail is also a separate piece, and rotates a bit. I should have take some more angle shots (that'll be for next time).

I am not sure how they are pulled Connell, I would guess in these two halves (i.e. top and bottom, with the appendages being separate), but they also still maintain the distinct 'joint' line from the original model, so it could be that it is made in separate pieces too, but I don't think that is the case - it/the torso seems to be one piece.

Post Re: Neat and gnarly Nostalgic Heroes
The seam is just from the kits being used to make the mold. The hands and tail are separate pieces, yes, but if you look close you'll find that the legs are cast as one separate piece as well, which I'm sure is the pull-point. There's a diagonal cut from the base of the tail to the bottom of the gut!

edit: Oh, kinda like Steve just said

^^ Thought that was what I said. Top body = 1 piece, legs = second piece. Arms and wee little tail popped on afterwards.
