No doubt. I was going to try to hook some people up. But I don't want people to freak out and start giving me crap. I make trades with people all the time and I dig that. I like a sense of a collecting community, so I will prob start with pm's to cool people I have traded with or bought customs from first.

I think if you have the idea of a collecting community in your head, then i'm guessing you'd be fair with trades and sales and i doubt you'd get any crap.
Collecting can be something that does generate community and a sense of people looking out for each other. I know this first hand. It just sucks when someone takes advantage of that community. Profitting from selling toys can certainly get you along but in the long term, reasonable sales and trades will get you friends and contacts. When you get to the point where there are really rare toys that are needed to complete your collection, you will benefit way more from help from your contacts then the piddly amount of cash you made flipping toys. I've been damn lucky in my collecting, and the toys that have been the tricky or rare ones always come to me through friends and contacts and not flippers.
It's sad that people have to call other people "dictators" and resort to saying hateful things. All i am saying is put in what you want to get out of the toy scene and invariably you'll do fine.

My rule of thumb is that if I offer it up here, it's gonna be at a pretty good price... when I make trades, I'll probably err on the side of taking the "loss" in the deal.
If I need to make money off of a sale, I'll put it up on eBay...

i think it's frowned upon here if it seems like you're constantly buying stuff and constantly selling it off once you get it.... hoping to get nice tradebait, make some money off of it, or if it is a miss... get your money back and thinking you'll never have a loss so u just buy buy buy & think you're doing people a favor while you're at it

Because you don't have them for sale. For anyone. And, that's perfectly ok because you bought them for yourself, or not at all. If you ever get tired of the toys you have, then you may consider selling them. Or, if you are short on cash, and would consider selling them to raise money for something else you want even more, you will sell them. Maybe not to me, but you will.
The point is that this same argument goes on and on and on. It wears different faces and takes place at different times, but it goes on and on and on. Why? See the thread, above. If I want to sell a zag that I would prefer to keep, but which I am willing to sell if I can use the money to purchase something else that I do not have, what is the problem? If I did not buy it with the intention to sell it, but am making a choice now to do so, what of it? If I want to buy another toy which is inflated and am selling my zag (mind you that mini zag that you guys keep refering to was paid for by me and ordered in October -- I just did not receive it until mid-december) for a little more so I can buy a zag that is selling for a little more, what is your problem? Names, inuendo, useless arguing. I am sick of it frankly. When I asked LD if he was flipping that Pushead Dam, I was asking a question not "attacking" him, and the point was lost. Frequently I see people sell things for double just a week after the toys come out and nothing is said because they have immune status it seems. LD offered me a CLOT skullpirate about a week after it came out for $175, and I thought that was a gracious and damn good offer, even though it was above retail. So there is no logic to the dictators argument, just more of the same, again and again and again. I try not to even listen anymore unless I see it directed at me, and then, I will not hide, nor will I call names like Geo, I will instead logically explain my point and let whoever is not tired of this crap read it and decide for themselves.
Thanks.

I did not buy the bag to gouge anyone, and I do not believe anyone is gouged. I bought the bag with hopes it would be lucky and contain exactly what I collect, then I would have kept it, all of it, forever, or at least until I tired or it. If I wanted a profit margin, I would get a retailers license and go into it. I do not because I am a private collector. When I sell things here below retail that I no longer want, no one says a thing. You have a lot of nerve, and if you want an enemy then you got it, buddy. I can always watch your posts and wait for my chance to defame you, as you have attempted to do me. But, you know, I am here for the toys, not the chatter about prices. I think this all distracts from the objective of collecting and enjoying the toys themselves.
Oh, and I think your pictures are Devine.

I don't think that anyone has mentioned your mini-zag at all in this thread. Seems like you're just choked i called you out in your thread so you are making this thread about someone selling stuff on Ebay your little war.
Sour Grapes man, sour Grapes.

Yeah, I could not agree more. I used to love a good argument, now that I do it for a living, I'd normally rather not. MORE CATS, errr . . .toys!

The only reason i jumped on you is your seeminlgy constant double standard-You have a big attitude to dump on others when you don't practice what you preach.Bryan called you out and he had a great point and the only thing you could do is respond w/preschool type comments..You're nice when it suits you then a douche when someone doesnt see things your way..An absolutist attitude..Watch me all you want hey're your billable hours..

So this all relates to the LD thread of late October/early November, huh? No. 1, why not grow up and move on. I have made my amends with LD.
No. 2, You must not have read my argument then, huh? Rather than call me more names (for instance, I did not originally call you directly a dictator, even), whereas you have called me names twice, why not spend your time looking up that old thread and re-reading all my posts on it since you are content to live in the past.
And, trust me, if this were cutting into my billable hours, I would not be here now. Private time is priceless, that is why I am spending it here.

I think that is what the masses call being called out. That prompted me to address you personally. But, I agree, this is entirely silly and tired, and the same old argument again and again with different clothes. I just think its time everyone moved on in 2007.
That's my new New Year's Wish. And, I don't consider you an enemy, but you did piss me off.
I'm off for the evening too. Happy trails all.
